Grand Optimist
How can one determine that their heart is full?
Maybe it is the weight of a single relationship, seemingly holding together the strands of one’s life, hoping that it will be enough. Or maybe it can be something more.
Vacancy and occupancy - two words that hold so much power when we long for the validation of others or when we come to a place of complete satisfaction with the relationships that have the ability to grow and prosper over time. The feeling of having something, or someone, missing from your life is a difficult thing to let pass, and it may never fully leave your mind. But it doesn’t have to.
I can say now that my heart is full. It is full, lacking convergency and coming to a place of peace. I don’t know what I did to deserve this accumulation of love, coming from places I had never expected, but the truth is that I wouldn’t trade the value of every relationship that has become of the past few months for anything in the world.
I see the better of me in these relationships, and it makes me happy to know that my heart can be full again.

Thanks! It's not all bad. There's a good chance that grad school, even with a good stipend, is not a smart choice for me because I wouldn't be able to pay all the loans from undergrad.
