Tag a friend who might enjoy this Milky Way image and journey! --- From Grant about this image: --- I took this at a small farm pond in Central Illinois that is owned by my grandmother. I came to this location every weekend for almost 4 months, waiting on the perfect night to try and capture the milky way. Some nights the moon would be too bright, most nights i would get out and set up only to find that humidity was causing a haze that i couldn't see with the naked eye. finally in august the perfect night came and i took advantage. this picture is 16 separate exposures, 15 for the sky and 1 for the trees and the grass. all pictures were taken with my Nikon D7100 and Rokinon 16 mm f/2.0. The 15 sky photos were taken @ f/2.2 ISO 3200 and 22 seconds. they were then stacked, aligned, and blended with a median filter in Adobe Photoshop CC. the foreground was taken @f/2.2 ISO 400 and 200 seconds.
