For PKMN-Art-Challenge on deviantArt. The theme was party hats and cake and I barely submitted it in time even though I had two months and it took under a week to complete.
Today, we remember Satoru Iwata once again. Already it's been 11 years.
A man of talent, a voice of reason, a strong innovator, and an advocate of fun and passion for gamers all over the world.
For this year, I drew Celebi, and there's a good reason for this: he designed a compression algorithm which simplified the design handling for Pokémon Gold & Silver, also enabling Pokémon events as a result.
Celebi was unfortunately uncatchable in the West due to technical reasons and time constraints, which led to the inability of the devs to distribute said events there.
Regardless, thank you, Mr. Iwata. I hope that out there, you are still flying high. 🥹
Okay I have some information that I want to confirm is it true torterra never stop growing like at all I know they have really long lifespans but I've heard that they actively can't die of old age think the closest thing would be there back becoming to heavy to carry anymore turning there knees to dust
This is partially true.
Torterra do eventually pass of old age, but they are hypothetically capable of continuous growth, but they need an ever growing diet to sustain it.
Torterra grow to be 7ft 693lbs in the wild, but can reach 8ft 780lbs domestically as they don’t need to compete for resources. In both cases, they still stop growing before they inevitably outgrow the food supply.
The largest Torterra on record was a female living domestically named Gaia. She lived for 137 years, and at the time of her passing was 8ft 9in tall, weighed 853.74lbs, and her shell was 12ft across.

There will be a collaboration with ANA in Japan for Pokemon's 30th Anniversary! There will be some Pokemon airplanes with a Red/Green/Blue theme (the last of these will be revealed at a later date) and Pokemon-themed headrests, drink cups, and napkins. They'll begin service on domestic routes at the end of Jul2026.
