Damage done between 2011-2015. Filmed 2015. Neighbors have seen the video but refuse to fire the crew.
I have held my tongue since purchasing/moving into my home in 2010. Our neighbor is being taken advantage of...and, by proxy, my garden is being damaged...by GrassHeads Lawn Care Service, LLC here in central Indiana.
I filmed them in 2015 using the GIANT power blowers that they always use...actually stepping into this bed and walking (more like TRIPPING) down my plantings in it...and now in 2016 I can see the damage fully. The damage caused by loss of soil at the roots of my 2 hydrangeas in what was once a raised bed is absolutely ridiculous.
My neighbors have seen the video...but since they are “childhood friends” I guess they are ok with being overcharged for what can’t even best be called sub-par work.
The most galling thing from last year though is that AFTER I filmed them...*after* having watched 5 years of damage to my property...after they killed 2 plants and have perhaps irreparably damaged the roots of 2 majestic hydrangeas I planted as tiny twigs in 2011...I confronted one of them and said “You may not stand in my garden bed” and the creep gave an appropriate stoner laugh (apparently the business was well named) and fucking said things and made noises indicating that he thought it was a sexual joke I was making.
On their way away from the property I got the typical “BITCH” yelled at me out their business vehicle’s window.
So they’re back this year...with blessing from the “childhood friends”. They gave “assurances” that they would not cause problems. Well the assurances sure as hell weren’t to me.
