Giuseppina Maria Camilla Grassini
Italian Contralto
Mistress to First Consul Bonaparte
(April 18, 1773 – January 3, 1850)
I’d love to have seen Grassini for 5 shillings, or watched Shakespeare, at the time. I want to know how it feels to kick dust, and have spurs on your heels, in the Wild West. I’d love to walk dark cobbles in London, and eat oysters with the everyday folk.
I travel in space, but its time that fascinates. I can feel it threaded through my chest like I’m spinning on cotton, somehow those memories not forgotten, my longing actually a moment from a previous life buried inside. That would be nice.
So I wonder: can I remember forwards? Pull myself along that thread, hand over hand, clutch at a feeling, understand?
That’s all very nice but its just a distraction, live in the moment, right? But this is, that was, so maybe its alright to ponder and dream and listen to opera by the river, getting bitten by ants and sweating and forgetting. Still,
I’d love to have seen Grassini pour forth her passionate soul, at the Opera House, for 5 shillings.

Grassini, Merrimack light up scoreboard in Londonderry
LONDONDERRY - Trust is a scarce resource in football. Having faith in your teammates to execute is what separates the elite from the mediocre and is the building block for state championships. Merrimack quarterback Justin Grassini trusts his receiving corps. Grassini threw for 296 yards, and spread his bounty across five receivers, to lead the Tomahawks to a convincing 41-7 win over Londonderry. Tyler DeNeill led the charge on the flanks with 10 receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown. "There was usually a safety up top, and we usually run (vertical routes) with a wheel on a big play so I just look (the defenders) off and go the other way," Grassini said. "I trust every one of my receivers, every play. Grassini, Merrimack light up scoreboard in Londonderry
