I have been recently doing a short course on ayurveda and something that really inspired me was conscious eating. I have been saying grace before meals for years now but sometimes it becomes done without a thought especially when I am just so hungry. ⠀⠀ A lesson one day was teaching about being grateful for the food that is in front of you. This food has come to your table because so many people have worked. There is some farmer out there who spent a whole season growing his crops so that you get your veggies on your table. Somebody is making their living by buying the crops from the farmer and making it available to the grocery store and there is a whole network of people there who is doing their job by weighing it, keeping stock and count and various other jobs ensuring you get the right and good products. And somebody in your family, maybe it’s even you have gone to put in hours of work to bring money to your family so that your family can be fed good food. And someone in your family has gone out and purchased these food and someone else has prepared with effort the food that is in front of you that now smells and visually appealing for you to nourish your body. ⠀⠀ As you take a moment to bring to your mind a heart with thanks and gratefulness, it surely will be a much more delicious meal. . . . . . . . . . . . . . #consciousliving #gracebeforemeals #gratefulheart #gratefulforfood #thankfulgratefulblessed #ayurvedaeveryday #ayurvedalifestyle #eatingconsciously #goodmind https://www.instagram.com/p/CAKVnUXF-_Y/?igshid=1cg3lav70x2tl
