requests are open!! my chance! gratsu, "next time you want to cuddle, just tell me"
Hey, Anon! Cuddles was an excellent choice, we all need more of those! Hope you enjoy. 💖
“I don’t feel good,” Natsu whined from his seat in the guildhall, his voice loud enough that his boyfriend could hear it clearly, even though Gray was currently sitting at the bar chatting with Cana and Loke.
Gray immediately got up, much to Loke’s amusement, and walked towards him, forehead furrowed in concern, “What’s wrong, Pyro?”
He felt Natsu’s forehead, not sensing any difference but knowing it wasn’t like the fire dragon slayer to complain about being sick. He pulled Natsu out of his chair and grabbing him by the hand tried to drag him up the stairs to the infirmary.
“Why would you take me there when I just said I don’t feel good?” Natsu whined, frustrated that Gray didn’t understand what he was asking for.
Gray stopped and gazed at his boyfriend in confusion, where else was he supposed to take him?—oh!- he thought, remembering how a few days earlier Natsu had had a stomachache and Gray had cuddled him until he felt better.
He rolled his eyes at Natsu’s lack of communication skills but rather than pointing that out he found them a booth to sit at and wrapped his arm around his boyfriend, pulling him close until Natsu’s head was on his chest and the dragon slayer was humming happily as the sound of Gray’s heart filled his ears.
“You don’t have to be sick, stupid,” Gray murmured softly before kissing the top of Natsu’s head gently, “next time you want to cuddle, just tell me.”
GraTsu 5 Sentence Prompt - 'Language Barrier'. Hi, Maria! I love your writing and I hope you continue to have fun with it
@grayserigala I have no idea what this is, I am blaming it on this video and the idea that Natsu would be absolutely obsessed with any craft that requires fire to work! Regardless it was really fun to work on and I hope you like it….
Gray wasn’t sure what drew his attention to the new guy first, his wild pink hair, or the fact that said guy was about to set something on fire. Inside. In the art classroom. The same one that Mr. Jonah would throw a fit about whenever anyone forgot to clean their station.
He decided to be friendly, which, of course, had nothing to do with the guy being absolutely gorgeous and everything to do with Gray being a model citizen. Well, okay, fine. Maybe a little bit to do with the first thing. He began to work his way over to what had to be a new student, seeing as Gray was sure he would have been dreaming about those eyes, and that body ages ago if he’d seen him before.
The guy looked up at the sound of his footsteps and smiled. An open, friendly smile that made Gray’s heart skip about a million beats. Look, math wasn’t his strong suit, the point here is he felt something.
So Gray did what any warm-blooded human with only so-so social skills would do, he waved and smiled back walking into an empty stool, tripping over it, possibly managing to flip along the way and landing on his face. You get the idea, he made a total ass of himself in front of the guy he had been crushing on for exactly one hot minute.
He decided then and there he wanted to die, Quickly, painfully, honestly, he didn’t care how just as long as it kept him from being humiliated any further in front of the cute guy. He’d already been blessed by a smile. It had been hubris to want more.
Gray could hear snickering behind him, and refused to look, already knowing it was Lyon. Asshole, he’d like to see him do better. Wait! No, he wouldn’t. If there was anything worse than completely tanking his chance, it would be watching Lyon succeed.
No! He was made of sterner stuff than this. He could rally, all he had to do was be cool. He was in the middle of giving himself a pep talk when he felt a tap on his shoulder and looked up, fully expecting to see Lyon’s mocking expression.
Instead, it was the guy, bright green eyes peering at him, brows furrowed in concern. He offered Gray his hand and helped pull him up.
“Uh, thanks, I guess,” Gray rubbed the back of his neck, having never gotten around to the part where he actually came up with something cool to say.
The guy tapped his perfect chest and said, “Natsu,” while looking at Gray expectantly, once again flashing him that fantastic smile that had Gray’s brain completely freezing up.
“Uhm, Gray,” he finally managed, repeating Natsu’s gesture, although not even remotely as gracefully. He was pretty sure he had looked like one of those gorillas you saw at the zoo.
Natsu nodded and repeated the name as if trying to memorize it, rolling the r in Gray’s name in a way that sounded really sexy to his ears.
They stood there awkwardly, Gray waiting for Natsu to say something else, while Natsu looked a little embarrassed. Finally, he turned away, returning to his work station and once again grabbing the lighter, which finally reminded Gray why he had wanted to talk to him in the first place.
Just as he was about to say something, he looked down at Natsu’s work station, noticing that there were several pieces of glass, each covered in what looked like smears and splotches of different colored ink. Gray watched as Natsu grabbed a dropper and poured what smelled like rubbing alcohol over each piece before lighting them all on fire, one by one.
Gray would have protested, but he was too busy watching the progress of the flame, his mouth open in awe. Natsu chuckled, grabbing the prettiest one and putting a piece of white paper behind it before grabbing a frame backing and reassembling the frame, showing it to Gray.
“¿Te gusta? Pues te lo regalo.”
Natsu handed him the piece of art with a wink before assembling the others and putting them away in his bag. He cleaned up his station, managing to finish just as the bell rang. Gray had no idea what Natsu had said, but he’d loved the way he’d said it.
“Adiós, Gray,” Natsu waved before walking out of the room.
“What was that, French?”
“It was Spanish, moron,” Lyon solved his mystery, sounding as irritating as always.
“How was I supposed to know? I take German!” Gray looked down at his present and decided he might need to brave the cavernous school library for the first time in his high school career. He wasn’t about to let some stupid language barrier stand in the way of true love.
This was a really cute prompt Jaci, I really liked it! I hope you like it too! Thanks for the ask, I always enjoy your prompts.😍❤😍
“For God’s sakes Natsu, how many cats do you need?” Gray muttered under his breath, looking at the roomful of cats Natsu had assembled and growing more impatient the longer they remained in the shelter.
It had been his idea for them to get a cat, knowing Natsu got lonely when he was away on long business trips. Natsu had always loved animals but Igneel had never let him have a pet, claiming he was too easily distracted, and while Gray agreed he thought Natsu could handle a cat without too much trouble, especially if they bought one of those automatic feeders.
“Look at all of them,” Natsu looked distraught as he gestured to the cats of all ages and temperaments that were clamoring for his attention, “How am I supposed to choose? It’s not as easy as picking who you want to spend the rest of your life with.”
Gray could feel the color rising to his cheeks at Natsu’s declaration and with no other way to show what those words meant to him until they returned home, he blurted out, “You can have as many as you want.”
Gratsu where they both become demons? giving into their ‘darker’ sides to join their significant other
The moment I saw this prompt I knew there was no way I could do it in 5 sentences so you get a drabble instead. 😂 I hope you like this, I enjoyed writing it!
Gray saw it clearly, the moment Natsu finally gave in to the demon nature he’d been fighting for so long, it was etched into his brain even as his heart throbbed painfully in his chest at the tears that streamed down his lover’s cheeks as he mouthed, I love you, I’m sorry.
He’d known it was only a matter of time before it happened, the creatures that Zeref had been sending after them only got stronger with each attack. But no one could blame him for hoping for a different outcome, especially now that Natsu had given up his humanity to save him.
Gray didn’t have the stomach for what he knew came next, didn’t want to consider a life without Natsu, especially when he was the one tasked with taking him out, Natsu had begged him more than once for that small mercy and God help him, he’d agreed.
Perhapsss there’sss another way…, a voice spoke up in his mind, it was foreign but also familiar somehow, like it was a part of him he’d never acknowledged before.
Gray was stunned, he knew his magic was fueled by the soul of a demon, but he’d only ever thought of it as magical energy, never considering the possibility that it could still be sentient. The voice was seductive, promising him a future with Natsu, one filled with untold pleasures. All he had to do was to let go of his humanity, the very same thing Natsu had just done.
He pretended to think about it, but Gray knew he’d made up his mind the moment an alternative was presented to him, not being able to bear the sadness he saw lurking in the eyes of the creature Natsu had become, Etherious Natsu Dragneel, as he waited for Gray to destroy him.
Gray closed his eyes, listening to the voice’s instructions and assurances as he allowed the demon to merge their souls into a new creature. When he opened them again, he looked out at the burning landscape with eyes that were not wholly his. Even so, he was still overcome by the wild beauty of E.N.D, smiling as he recognized Natsu’s soul contained within.
“What did you do?” E.N.D roared, gawking at Gray’s new appearance, one he couldn’t really see outside of noting that the right side of his body seemed to be permanently covered by the inky substance of his devil slayer magic.
“Anything I had to, to stay by your side,” Gray replied smoothly, holding out his hand for E.N.D. to take and after a minute spent staring at him in amazement, E.N.D grabbed it roughly.
They walked away, putting their old lives behind them and forging a new future for themselves, one where they could love each other as they always had, as far away from the world of man as they could manage.
