sookie n her powers developing in her younger years !

there is a point in childhood where one learns to lie – and humbled, honest sookie had not a touch of deception upon her tongue. it scared the world around her, the things she would say – the truths that would spill from her lips – it tugged and pulled at the threads of composure, and the titles witch and liar had become a child’s trademark. lying had to be learned as ability came to light and sookie had the mind to understand it…

before that, however, sookie could not find the BAD that followed truth, nor did she quite understand that what she hears is not shared among those around her – and her inability of this led to tests after tests, to sit in office after office, diagnosed with this and that – given (at first ) mind numbing medications that took CHILD away from the girl, but not the noise from the world. mother, bless her heart, did not like the sight she saw. as much as she feared daughter’s mystery, she rather see a smile than this. relieved of medications, sookie is returned to boisterous world, however, now with epiphany. she understood now the fear that follows sudden truths, that noise is shared only with her own mind and no one else’s. the realization came as suddenly as the gift and within months from it’s sudden appearance. she was only 5 when talent had arrived, but youth was quickly stolen when sookie understood the heavy burden which now law upon her shoulders. and with age, the voices grew stronger -- and with each passing years, sookie must relearn to focus, tune out, and smile.
