SHE HAD JUST FIGURED MAYBE it's the flu. or a stomach bug. she really had just taken the test just in case, but had no confidence it would turn out positive — and then it had. and then another test had shown the same. and yet another. josie has been weird around rhys ever since and she's painfully aware of her inability to just be normal with him, but part of her is petrified with the choice she's now faced with. josie's curled up in bed, where she's been for the last couple of days, hugging a pillow against her chest. the pregnancy tests are all buried in the trash and yet again she thinks she should just muster up the courage to tell him. and yet again she has no idea how to even begin. it will kill her if he doesn't want this, and it will terrify her if he does want this. she hears him enter the room and lifts her head to greet him — only for her smile to vanish when she sees the expression on his face. « what ? what's wrong, dear ? » her glance falls to the item in his hand.
