OCCUPATION: Gallery manager and artist FACE CLAIM: Avan Jogia FAMILY: Gray was raised with his father and mother in Brighton. He found out his mother was in fact his adoptive mother and his biological mother left when he was a baby. His biological mother was a witch and an old diary has led him to Fenrirswood to look for more information about her and his own own magical heritage. BIOGRAPHY:
Grayson affectionally known as Gray was born in Brighton, England to Indian and English parents. His father owning his own building company and his mother a teacher, Gray had a stable and happy childhood. He didn’t want for anything, his parents encouraged and supported him and he spent a lot of holidays with his grandparents and cousins in both India and Canada. His parents had a baby boy when he was 12 and Grayson loves his little brother and is protective of him.
However, Grayson spent a significant part of his life believing he was the son of his adoptive mother, who he considered to be his real mum until his late teens. His life took an unexpected turn when he found an old diary of his dad's when cleaning the garage. The diary spoke about his biological mother who had left when he was a baby and hinted at a magical heritage. This revelation opened the door to questions about his true origins and the latent powers he never knew he possessed. This led to Gray to start exploring his magical abilities.
Gray has always had a lot of energy, he’s talkative, charming and enjoys being around people. He’s confident and can sometimes can come across a little spoilt even if he doesn’t mean to. He can be emotional and loses his temper when he’s hurt or upset, he’s known for being reactive, but he always apologies for his mistakes.
He’s loved art from a very small age. He could always be seen with his sketch book and a camera around his neck. That passion became a bigger part of his life throughout school, he did set designs for performances and enjoyed being in the photography club. He had a lot of friends and kept himself busy. As well as being artistic, he’s naturally smart and moved to London to study art at university. He studied different medias and areas of art, and he thrived in his young adult life... however, the nineteen year old couldn't forget about his magical abilities and the lies his parents had told him.
The more he opened himself up to his powers, the more he could feel them and so much about himself and his life made sense. He could feel energy in the elements, he felt like he could reach out to the world around him. His heighten emotions he'd always had, almost fuelled him and he played around with small spells, using them to open doors or heat a cup of coffee.
After university, Gray decided to travel. He felt so lost at home, the trust with his parents broken. He travelled around Europe, Australia and parts of America. He later settled for a few years in Canada, helping in his uncle’s restaurant and sharing an apartment with his cousin. He worked part time in a gallery there and he knew that was what he wanted to do in his life. Over the years, he’s done freelance graphics work, designed logos for companies, done illustrations and taken photographs for events.
In his later 20s, he decided it was time to move back to his home. He needed to face his parents and he did miss them. His dad opened up about his biological mother and how he suspected she was different and she told him about her hometown Fenrirswood. Grayson knew he needed to know more about her and himself. Gray moved to Fenrirswood two years ago and settled in Sune’s Harbour, seeking answers about his family and his abilities. He works at the Good Duck Art Gallery as a manager and still draws and paints.
Grayson is embracing both his human upbringing and the magical world he’s become a part of. He's determined to uncover the truths about his past and find his place in Fenrirswood.
