This is still one of my most cherished photos ever. October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month and losing this beautiful boy, Gray Isenhour Tobin, was and still is one of the hardest losses I’ve ever experienced. He was my Courtney’s youngest son who lived 247 days on this earth. In this photo I had the privilege of holding him for hours on end. He was such a snuggler. He’s less than a month old here. I miss him so much. If you know someone who has lost a child in some way, shape or form, please remember to always be kind. If you are uncomfortable saying anything, just don’t. You can stand with them in support and be just as effective. Children are a blessing from God and I am so thankful for the days, hours, minutes & seconds I got to hold and talk to Gray. What a true honor. I learned so much after he passed away. I learned that listening is even more valuable & powerful than talking. I learned that parents and family don’t just get over a loss this great. They never will. Imagine losing a limb. Will you just forget you ever had it? No you won’t, but you’ll learn to navigate your daily life in a much different way. You will always remember. Grieving parents are exactly the same. They don’t always show their grief but it’s there under the surface as a reminder of what was. Be kind always. I love you, Gray. 💙 (📷: Courtney Tobin) #infantloss #October #saytheirname #GrayIsenhourTobin #beauitfulboy #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/B3aBR1VFObL/?igshid=1gyxsmbcvkjn6
