Okay, wait, what’s social attraction? For the longest time I thought that it was the desire to socialize and feel belonging in a group of people, but I think I might be slightly off the mark here? I looked it up here on tumblr and definitions are saying that social attraction is when you look up to/want to be like someone and therefore want to socialize with them (or, at least, that’s one potential aspect of it, I think)? I’m pretty confused as to what exactly social attraction is. Because, with the definition I thought it had, I would definitely be allosocial, but with the definition I’m finding now, I’m not entirely sure. Thinking about it, idk if I necessarily look up to people that much (real people, anyway). I mean, sure, I don’t want to be the way that I am now forever, but I don’t really have much of anyone whose example I want to follow. Is that why I don’t have that much direction in my life at the moment?
Is my previous question a result of internalized aso*phobia?
Anyway, any info or advice would be greatly appreciated here.
*the shorthand for “asocial” is “aso”
