When Friedrich caught a glimpse of vacation time, he always enjoyed taking a few hours of his time to go see a movie, at a real theatre. Driving away from the base every so often was extremely helpful for his stress and blood pressure, and he always enjoyed seeing a lighthearted film. Today he had selected an animated feature. It was a bit of a guilty pleasure of his, one that he wouldn’t admit to anyone- but he loved Walt Disney animations. He had first been exposed to it when he came to America, not having been one for watching films in Germany. To his surprise, though- the man he recently met, the one with the golden scars- had taken it upon himself to tag along for it. Friedrich wasn’t going to ask Gray why. If he wanted to come see a film with him he wasn’t going to argue. After all, it was just a lighthearted outing to help relax from the stress of the previous events. The two grown men sat in the theatre, sharing a bowl of popcorn and watching a bunch of dancing, singing cats. Children’s film? Who cares. No one needed to know they were both secretly battle-hardened mercenaries, constantly disturbed by the threat of death. Friedrich wasn’t likely to admit it ever happened, though.
