Grumbling to himself, Bakugou cracked open an eye to peer at the other from within the quilts he’d cocooned himself in. He didn’t agree to this ‘hang-out night’. He’d been dragged here and, no, not putting up a struggle didn’t count as acceptance. It was late in the night and Bakugou wasn’t use to staying awake so damn long. It was cold outside the nest of blankets and, if Kaminari was distracted, maybe he wouldn’t notice Bakugou drifting off. But no, that would be too damn easy.
“It’s fucking cold,” Bakugou complained, opening the other eye to frown at the other. The cold might explain the abundance of blankets though and Bakugou claimed all of them. “I’m not giving any of them up but if you’re going to complain about it just get the hell in.” Shuffling for a moment to try and unravel the blankets folded under him, Bakugou begrudgingly offered an opening for Kaminari to slip in.
In Kaminari’s mind, hanging out with friends and losing sleep after a movie night or even just lazing around to talk about nothing and everything, was a vital part of growing up. This was, of course, made all the more easier to do by shoving them all into dormitories and although this was the furthest experience away from a Summer Camp excursion for fun filled memories, it didn’t stop the blond from taking advantage of his close proximity to the friends he loved so much.
Then again, not everyone felt the same way he did. In fact, Bakugou made it a point to slip away unnoticed for an early bed time, nearly every night!
Nope. Kaminari essentially dragged Bakugou out of his room and into his own hectic environment where the lights were all on, snacks were all laid out, and music played out of a small bluetooth speaker on his desk.
Every once in a while, he had something to say-- dumb or otherwise. Bakugou responded with a grunt, a hum, or some sort of derision, depending on the topic, but he’d begun to notice the other was drifting off to sleep when he hadn’t heard any sort of response upon asking the explosive blond what it was like to be a Taurus and whether or not he considered himself a Taurus or an Aries.
Looking down at the other, he’d noticed him curled up in all the blankets, which, wasn’t too big of an issue, but seeing him all bundled up like that reminded him of how cold he was, too. Kaminari was just good at distracting himself.
He tugged at one of the blankets, but there was no give! Bakugou had successfully hoarded all of Kaminari’s blankets.
“You’re hogging all the blankets!” he’d cried out, expecting the other to give at least one up. After all, he didn’t mind sharing.
“I know it’s fucking cold, that’s why I want you to give one up.” he explained, although this wouldn’t be so much of an issue if his room was just a little warmer, but he quite liked sleeping in a cold room. He got to curl up in several blankets and sleep comfortably.
At Bakugou’s response, he huffed, but instantly lightened up the moment the other invited him into the warm cocoon of blankets and he wasted no time in snuggling up close. Maybe too close, but he combated the slight awkwardness in the only way he knew how.
“So. Do you consider yourself an Aries or a Taurus?” he asked with a small smile as he lay on his side, barely a breath away from Bakugou’s face.
