Kai looked at his buddy curiously, wondering if he was messing with him and if he was even aware who he was talking to. “What Kai? You can’t possibly mean Kim Kai, that jerk, can you?” He asked as he carefully guided the drunken man down the street to his car. “Hey, dork, we are going to your place. You got keys for me to drop you off?”
He’s clutching at the paper bag, the wind whipping around him. It’s cold, too cold that he doesn’t want to be outside but he’s willing to brave the snow as he enters the animal hospital. Devin only nods at the people at the front, sneaking his way past the desk to enter the back area. He’s been here enough in the last few weeks that they all know who he is. The blond easily slips into the office, not surprised to already find Yang waiting for him.
“I made sandwiches.” He smiles shyly, pink tinging his hues. The parallel human was no master chef, but he was learning. Setting down the paper bag, he first sheds his coat and then his scarf - hiding the few bruises left on his skin. He had just bought that scarf yesterday, unsure to where the others had gone off to. It always seemed to be the first item he misplaced. Alas, it was the last thing on his mind as he moves around the desk, leaning against the wood as he stands beside where the other is seated. “How was your morning?”
“hey, kid !” overt excitement lights up features when gaze lands on the younger, jiwon making a beeline towards him only to throw a companionable arm over shoulders and tug the younger into side, grin widening. “have you eaten yet ?”
“You look upset,” Hayley said when she saw Seb standing at the door. “Um, you’re not fighting with Carter, are you?”
Seb shook his head and mumbled he needed someone to vent to. Hayley guided him to the kitchen and ran off to grab Carter.
The traveler sucked in a sharp breath, clenching and unclenching his fists. Rushing out of the house was irrational – teleporting to his friend’s place in Boston, MA in the US was even crazier. But he needed a nonjudgmental party now.
muse: clover
plot: clover likes to volunteer at a plant nursery when she’s got free time. let the cute nature babies do cute nature baby things !!
❛ ❪ ❂ “ of course i hang out here too.” clover’s had taken the liberty of closing her shop for the day to volunteer at a plant nursery not to far away. she was settled on a bench, two heavy bags of potting soil on one side of her and an empty space on the other, “i’m practically a plant myself. at this point -- what are you doing here? ”
❝but you said no earlier?❞ the ceo called out, raising a brow as he glanced to the other. his hand held onto the cup of smoothie. a frown plastered his lips as he stared at the other with confusion. he did mention that he was going to grab a smoothie, but the other was too absorbed with something else that they rejected the offer of a smoothie. ❝i mean... i can go back and get you one? it’s not a big deal-❞
He buries his face into her neck, arms wrapped around her waist.
Then she says his name again, making him grumble slightly. A pause, then she mentions something about getting up.
“We need to get up,” she said in a soft voice.
“What if wanna spend today cuddled up against you?” he mumbled, eyes still closed.
“You can’t stay in bed – I’m sure Maryse is probably wondering why you’re not up and sparring or whatever right now at the Institute.”
Jonah clung to the warlock a bit tightly and he murmured that he already had a plan in place. “Izzy agreed to cover for me – she’s convinced Maryse I’m sick and needed treatment from you. Technically it isn’t a lie, since you had to stitch me up last night.”
“Fine,” Briggs sighed with a shake of her head. “If you wanna be lazy, at least let me get up, brush my teeth and the like, then make us breakfast.”
He reluctantly loosened his hold on her at the mention of breakfast and Briggs slipped free, throwing back the covers. He lay in bed for a few moments, too sleepy to think about untangling himself from the covers. Then when he heard the sound of pans and the stove being turned on, he grunted as he threw back the covers and got to his feet.
“So food was the key to getting you out of bed?” Briggs teased as she cracked an egg into the pan.
Jonah mumbled something that sounded like “No”, before he snaked his arms around her waist, his chin resting on top of her head.
“You’re really exhausted aren’t you?” she asked.
“Mmhm, but I’ll eat to make you happy and then I want to cuddle again,” he hummed. “I’m sorry I didn’t plan anything super romantic for Valentine’s Day.”
“I think this is enough for me,” she said, a smile on her face. “My bedhead klutz of a boyfriend clinging onto me while I try to feed us. You sure you don’t wanna crawl back in bed and I’ll bring the food to you?”
“Nope,” Jonah hummed. “The bed’s not warm enough until you’re in it with me.”
“You know, I envisioned us having dinner and a pretty lowkey kind of night,” Jimin sighed. He untied the silk neckties he used to secure his boyfriend’s wrists and checked for bruising. “I’ll help you to the shower. Then I’m cooking you some real food.”
Tyler nodded as he slowly pushed himself to a sitting position. His feet touched the ground and he tried to stand, feeling a bit wobbly. Jimin was by his side in a flash, draping his boyfriend’s arm around his shoulders and carefully guiding him into the bathroom. With his free hand, he opened the shower door and warned Tyler about the step for the shower.
Once inside, Jimin turned the shower on and began using the bar of soap to get a lather in his hands. He slowly rubbed the soap in small circular motions on Tyler’s arms, wrists, and shoulders, before nudging the other under the warm stream of water.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Jimin asked as he scanned his boyfriend’s face.
Tyler nodded and offered a weak grin. “Ji, I told you it was fine. I’ve always been a bit curious about bondage and I wondered what a rough session would be like. I would have told you otherwise if I wasn’t enjoying it.”
“I’m going to give you some ibuprofen for the soreness,” Jimin promised. “I know I used a lot of lube, but I can’t promise you might feel a little tender tomorrow.”
Tyler snickered as he slipped his fingers into Jimin’s, squeezing the hand with a smile. “My knight in shining armor,” he teased. “I think Amelie needs to rethink your Grandpa nickname after what happened tonight.”
“Briggs came up with it, not Amelie,” Jimin corrected. “She adopted it because it was funny. But in all seriousness, I am sorry if you’re in pain thanks to my monster dick.”
Tyler slowly turned to face his boyfriend and leaned in for a kiss.
“Honestly? Worth it,” Tyler murmured.
“What got you so riled up though?” Jimin asked as he passed over the soap.
“Well, it is Valentine’s Day...”
“So, Eros spikes your drink and watches as everyone else tries to jump their significant others?”
Tyler laughed hard at that comment, doubling over as Jimin tried to make sure he didn’t slip.
“You stay put – I’ll get towels and I’ll start on dinner. I’m sorry it’s not made 100% from scratch, but I didn’t want to take forever with cooking,” Jimin apologized. He waited for Tyler to straighten up before quickly exiting the shower to grab towels for both of them.
Tyler leaned against the wall adjacent to the shower door and smirked. “Or we can skip dinner and go straight to dessert.”
Jimin scowled at his boyfriend as he wrapped the towel around his waist. The other male sighed and promised he’d finish showering soon. Satisfied with the other’s reply, Jimin pointed out the extra towel on the counter and exited to start heating up the protein he bought for tonight’s meal.
Tyler stepped out of the shower and retrieved the towel, using it dry himself off. He headed back to Jimin’s room to put his clothes on and paused when he saw a new text message.
Monkey
Hey, where does Ji live again? There’s nothing here to eat and I know his food’s good.

Tyler frowned as he read the message and typed back:
Tyler
You’re restocking the fridge by tomorrow afternoon. BTW, go out somewhere – you’ve got money.
