“But yeah, that’s how my life has been going topside so far. How are you?”

"And yet here you are, with me, buying into this crap. I mean if it makes you feel better, I actually ordered all the fancy syrups and creams home and make my own fancy little drink for a fraction of the price. The raw material costs like about... 5 drinks? But makes you over 30 at worst, 40 at best. Maybe that's what you should demand from them. Give me nice hot beverage raw material and I'll make sure you won't die blah blablablah!" He broke into a chuckle. "Me? Well, did I tell you the human I'm in, he got himself a partner, okay? And God it's hard being in a monogamous relationship. Did you even try it? Got any tips?"

“Woah, that was actually really good! But wait, look at this.” Jongin went to the middle of the studio, performing the same routine the other had with just a touch of his own freestyle dance. He knew his instructor would be happy with his addiction, given how often times he was even encouraged to add some freestyling to the performances he would do on stage. “What do you think?” He smiled, fixing his shirt. “Not bad, right? Can you try to copy?”

Kai sighed as he glanced at her, looking tired. “I don’t get it. What was the point in trying to steal from me?” He narrowed his eyes at her, obviously not amused. “You know, I never did like the US and I always forget why, you really do help me remember. Now hand me the wallet that you snuck out of my pocket with your sticky little fingers and we can all be on our way, okay?”

“It’s funny how you think you can beat me in this game! I’ve played it dozens of times now. I never lost.” Jongin beamed as he easily maneuvered his controller. “Hey! Wait, no! Stop... what that’s not okay.” He watched the other playfully bump into him and pushed back at him. “I will bite you! No cheating! If you lose, lose with dignity!”

His was was pretty good over all , he just tended to drink too much when he got the chance. ❛ Water does sound good though … ❜ He says softly , glancing up at Jongin.

“Really? I would imagine the alcohol would instead make you do stupid crap. I am quite surprised. It really is the first time I hear someone say alcohol helps them against stupid.” Jongin grinned and ruffled the other’s hair. “Is that a request? Because if so, I didn’t quite catch the word please there. And I would hate to think you are trying to take advantage of me.”

Dal groans in frustration, immediately releasing Jongin as the other requests it. He’s frustrated, and it’s written all over his features. “I’m sorry,” Dal mumbles as he takes a few steps away from the other. He gives up, for now at least. It seems that Jongin is going to continue to pretend like he has no idea what Dal is talking about. “You aren’t under arrest. I’m not sure what would give you that impression.” Brows narrow slightly, not liking being accused of such a thing so easily. “Are you seriously going to act like I assaulted you?”

“Listen, I really have no clue what you want from me. I’m being serious. Look at my face.” He pointed at himself. “It’s not that I wouldn’t like to help you, but I know nothing about scorpions, real or metaphorical ones. And if I am not under arrest then I would like to leave.” He sighed, rubbing his face. “You may consider some of the things you did as nothing serious, for you. For me, it reminded me of really bad times.” He started to walk away from the other. “You are welcome to join me for coffee but please, if you want something from me, tell me upfront because these guessing games are tiring me.”

yeongsik casts his gloves aside with a sigh. he takes a seat - leaning back against the counter he had been cutting flowers upon, looking at kai for a few seconds. he’s weighing his options, assessing the situation. trying to analyse what the other is saying and meaning. “the thing is, i’m cursed.” he’s not talking about his past, not mentioning what he is. talking about the curse should be enough information. yeongsik is not about to play all his cards all in once, that doesn’t make sense. it would make him vulnerable. “i’m cursed and part of it is flowers tormenting me. they never shut up, and i never can not listen to what they have to say.”

“How is it being cursed to have plants talk to you?” Kai arched a brow, looking in somewhat disbelief. “And how are they tormenting me? What if you threaten to poison them? Maybe then they will shut up.” He offered with a light-hearted smile, looking completely calm at his suggestion. Possibly because he half doesn’t believe that the other is telling him the truth about that. He crossed his arms over his chest, glancing at the plants. “Who would curse you to such a silly little thing? Step on a flower and it shuts up, no? I mean it might be more emotional for you giving you know they are sentient but... you know. At least it will send a message to all the other flowers?”

“It’s not something to be jealous about, really. But I can see how it would be very annoying to get sick right before something important.” He snorted lightly and patted Jongin on the shoulder. “I don’t get sick because I can’t, I’m not human.” Yonghwa spoke in the most nonchalant manner ever, as if it was the most normal thing to say. He’d most likely regret telling the truth sooner or later, but at the time being he couldn’t be bothered with trying to come up with a decent excuse. After greeting the shop owner, he turned his attention back to the other, a small grin etched onto his lips. “Well, you won’t know if it would boost my ego unless you actually started calling me that. Rest assured, it’s not that easy to flatter me, especially not by calling me a superhero.”

Jongin’s eyes widened at that as he looked at the other in outmost surprise. “What do you mean you’re not human? Then what are you? A cat?” He narrowed his eyes and suddenly his pace slowed down. How much in danger was he exactly? He had to think about it-- the other being not human. He only stumbled into trouble whenever he met creatures that were not human. “Are you dangerous?” He asked flatly, as calm and nonchalant as the other seemed to have informed him about himself. “Should I be worried?” The question may have been light-hearted and playful if it weren’t for the very serious expression on Jongin’s face as he made it.

Kai held the bottle away from the other, shaking his head. “Listen, as much as I would be happy to watch you make a fool of yourself, I will not have you make a fool of yourself and then ruin my carpet by throwing up all over it. Because it will happen. And I might just smite you for such an offense. This is for your own good.” He glanced at the bag of food, smiling. “Good, stuff your stomach a bit. You need something to absorb that alcohol.”

“We definitely all have our things that help us cope, so don’t feel that you have to force it if you don’t think it will help in the end,” Luna nodded a bit, offering him a small smile. “I think that a lot of kids wanted that,” she nodded, “I know that I wanted the same thing, but for me I think it was more as a way to get away from the situation I found myself in,” she mused. Though she was happy enough where she was now, she wished that she and her brother had been able to have a different childhood, a happier one. “I would be more than happy to share my stories with you someday,” she nodded, “and I would be honored to hear yours, as well.”

“We certainly do. You’re right.” Jongin chuckled as Luna continued but he couldn’t help but disagree. “I’m not sure if that’s entirely true. Some people may have wanted the stars, some have wanted the world. I sometimes think that those that preferred to try to reach the stars are less dangerous than those that wanted to rule the world.” He hummed as his fingers brushed through his hair. “Oh, I’m the same. In the stars, no human pain, the mundane suffering of this world would not reach and hurt me, don’t you think?” He glanced at her for a moment. “Maybe we can get some hot chocolate milk and sit under the pretty stars and just talk until dawn, hmm? Wouldn’t that be something?”

          THERE’S A SLIGHT GAPING TO HIS MOUTH, called out in the most nonsensical way of the word and Kit was not about to feed into it. “Pouty? I do not get pouty. If anything I get murderous — not sure if that’s any better but..” He shrugs despite an obvious grin appearing on his features, “I am not being smug and nonchalant, Jongie. I just.. think it’s adorable that you believe I would even recall such a useless moment. My love.. come now.” He murmurs among quiet kisses placed alongside an ear the wolf was quite keen on teething on for extra effect, but he’d leave such thoughts for a more appropriate time. As a hefty sigh pours between full lips, the wolf rests in a small smile that transcends while listening on to the boatful of information his lover had managed to pick up without Kit having noticed any of it.

          “Jiyeon, is it? Now I know exactly who to address when           I see them next, maybe jot down the number for emergency           and hand it over, after all, she’ll be needing aid for that third           degree burn you left her with.”

          SNICKERS CONTINUED TO POUR ONCE HE’S ON HIS BACK, letting the other overrun the expanse of his chest as Jongin got comfortable. Kit remains with mild amusement etched on his face but the smile is thoughtful more than anything, he could understand the other’s concern but just as he’d always been capable of assuring his loyalty within.. his own ways, words could also have the same effect, and definitely most times, better ways.

          “Better yet, I will simply tell her I’m not interested whatsoever.            Telling her I’m with someone might just give her hope I might            actually feel some ways but my partner is what’s stopping me.            Wouldn’t you agree?”

“You definitely do get pouty. It’s cute, actually. It would have been even cuter if it weren’t my weapon of choice! I think I beat you to it.” He chuckled softly as he rolled around until he was laying all over Kit, draping himself against the other. “Hmm, murderous? But my kitty is not a killer kitty. He is a big, cute ball of fluff. At least when I’m with him.” Jongin mused while his lips gently traced kissed over Kit’s shoulderblades. He perked up a bit and adjusted himself to sit a bit further up on the other’s torso, allowing Kit the perfect opportunity to keep his little tyrant of kisses that were obviously meant to appease his grumpiness. “Well, you might not, but I did. And she might too. No flat out rejection always leaves the hopes for something to happen in the future. I should know, this is how I ended up asking you out.”

He paused when the other began to speak, his eyes wild for a moment when Kit mentioned he would talk with her before Kit finished his little jest. It took him a moment, and then another in which he narrowed his eyes at Kit and did some reevaluations of the situation. “Are you drunk?” He ended up bursting out laughing as he pressed a kiss to Kit’s lips. “My god, you must be. I never heard you joke like that. I like it. I like seeing you like this.” He sighed in relief at the predicament, giving him a quick nod of his head. “Yes, you’re right. You’re absolutely right. Ah, am I a bad person for being so jealous of this poor girl and hating her with all my guts for constantly touching your pretty face and having it be her job as an excuse for her not to stop any time soon?”

“Oh wow, what a wonderful friend you are. Tossing me to the zombies to save your own ass. I’ll remember that.” He stuck out his tongue before chuckling. “Underestimating people is dumb in every way possible, and it’s usually those that do, that get severely disappointed in the end. So I guess it’s their loss after all.” Ezra pursed his lips a little and looked at Jongin. “Man, you know I’m not able to say no to food, especially not something as good as brownies. So you bet I’m willing to take the detour. Unless you poisoned them or something.” He joked.

“Awh thank you, I know.” Jongin beamed as he playfully bumped his shoulder against Ezra’s. “I’m kidding! Geez, how will I ever go through a zombie apocalypse without you? You’re the first one I’m searching so we can build a fortress together and outlive those bastards, like in that game we played once!” He chuckled, glancing at him. “Well, lucky for you I plan to eat them too so either we die tragically all Romeo and Juliet style or you enjoy my new recipe... with white chocolate fudge inside. I salivate just thinking about it!” He hummed. “Speaking of that zombie game, when are you free for us to have another gaming night? The last one was really fun.”

So you’re telling me now that because I have decided to build a fort in my house, stock myself up with junk food and have weekend gaming marathon sessions on a weekly basis means I’m not coming out anymore? Wow, and here I thought humans have a limit to their stupidity.” The demon snorted as he took a sip of his coffee, nodding his head at that last note. “I totally get why. Starbucks is nice. And the fuck will you do with a soul you are going to get anyway when the person’s dead? Like, that’s not a fair bargain for you.” He shook his head. “Say, did the seasonal drink you ordered turned out good in the end?”
