Every Audition Has Its Thorn || Selfpara

Timeframe: Monday afternoon

Location: McKinley Highschool Auditorium

Notes: Sam auditions for the Glee Club with a Poison’s song. 

Warnings: None, except for dorky behavior probably?

With a deep breath, Sam walked into the auditorium. A kid was still on the stage, nodding to whatever Mr. Schue was telling him. It didn’t seem all negative and the teacher’s tone was nice and reassuring, but from the way the guy walked away, he could tell that it was nothing good for him. That made him even more nervous to get on the stage and sing, bailing was still a possibility for him. 

A promise was a promise though, he’d made one to Rachel that Friday after all and in his world, that’s that. No stepping back from that. Also, he brought his guitar with him, so he’d look like a total idiot if he stood in the hallways with a guitar and the failed intention to audition for the glee club, right? 

Mr. Schue called his name and his mouth suddenly felt drier than the desert. He got on the stage, a raised hand in greeting, and took the center of the stage. 

“Huh, my name’s Sam Evans, I’m a transfer student,” he introduced himself. “I never sung in front of everybody but I’ll be singing Every Rose Has Its Thorn, by Poison.” When Mr. Schue gestured for him to start. Once he started playing the guitar and heard the first notes, the fear for the adution went away just as it came. There was something about being on that stage, singing on his own and in front of people, that made him terrific. 

Shame it didn’t last longer, he thought to himself as the last note echoed in the auditorium. “That was awesome.” It was meant to be a whisper, but it ended up being totally audible. 

The teacher smiled though. “Thank you, Sam. I’ll put up the list of the accepted members in the next day.”

"Thank you, Mr. Schue. Goodbye.” With a last nod to his teacher, Sam walked off the stage with the biggest smile on his face.

First of all, I’m happy to announce that we have a total of nine members after accepting. Since everyone has sent in their account, I think it’s time to give our fellow members their first task, as well as set a time for when the roleplay is officially opening.

First thing’s first, everyone is allowed to post at & after 5:00 PM CEST time, today.

Secondly, the first task will be Glee club auditions:

Is your character interested in joining McKinley’s very own New Directions? Well, you’re in luck, the glee club is holding auditions starting today, as well as Monday next week.

To audition for Glee club, you are required to sign up by sending in an ask to the main, and write a self paragraph of your performance. There’s no minimum or maximum length. Please include the song in your self paragraph. You have until Tuesday, 26 September to post your audition after signing up.
