"Psycho" - Chapter 4
Kakashi/Sakura | Rating: T | Chapters: 9 Available on: Patreon | AO3
Chapter 4: Exam
Kakashi's on the cusp of his promotion to ANBU commander.
Despite Sakura’s dismissal, Obito’s words stick with her. Her sensei wasn’t known for his eloquence, but he had an uncanny instinct for seeing beneath the underneath. She hasn’t really thought about Kakashi outside of the context of friendship—they haven’t even been friends that long; but now that she has, she can’t help but notice certain things about him. Like how large and strong his hands are, or the warmth of his gaze, or the playful flop of his silver hair, or the way he fills out those magnificently tight sleeveless shirts he sometimes wears beneath his flack vest when it’s too hot to layer up.
But it’s silly. In the months that follow, he behaves no differently than he always does. He pays for lunch sometimes—only sometimes. His wit continues to be as dry as the Wind country desert. She usually dominates conversation—stories from the ER or tales of Naruto’s most recent mischief blended with her latest restaurant recommendations from her and Ino’s weekly outings to sample all of Konoha’s culinary delights. She laughs like she always does. Teases him about his peculiarities—like she always does.
But she hates how now, simple gestures that never before phased her—never held special significance, now have her second guessing everything. Like when his fingers brush hers as he hands her a to-go container. Or how he’ll reach an arm around her to pull her out of the way of a passing bicyclist when they’re walking through the village. The way he holds doors open for her, and gives her that warm little eye crinkle smile when no one’s looking. It means nothing. She knows it means nothing. They’re all platonic gestures, and yet she’s now plagued with the persistent question of what if.
Stupid Obito-sensei. It’s all his fault.

It Sounds Simple chapter 6
Thanks to @comeonreginaldd and a fic we ready, I had a new idea for this. The title us going to be so ironic.
Children of Kaguya - Chapter 6
Sakura settles in the village despite the legends—despite the warnings, because famine and war sweep the land and she has been without a home for ten years, traveling and struggling simply to survive. She is granted a year of peace in a small village along the great Sugi forest; then one day he drifts out of the woods, the Ginpatsu of village myth, and claims her as his bride.
Chapter 6: Fire and Ice
Memories of the past haunt Sakura's dreams.
She is fourteen, and winter’s bite is beginning to sink its teeth into the land.
She stands at the Magatta River, clutching the letter she never got to give him, cheeks flushed with cold and the exertion of the walk from Boeki. As has been the case these past many weeks, only the river’s rushing flow and the call of the last birds yet to fly south for the winter greet her hopeful heart. There is no dark haired boy, waiting and smiling. No letter tucked in the hollow of their old cherry tree. She stares down at the neatly folded paper, worn now with weeks of fretful handling—thinks of the words she’d finally worked up the courage to share.
Four weeks. She hasn’t seen him in four weeks—and she is beginning to suspect she never will again.

Chapter 4: Union
Sakura finds herself a married woman.
When she finally stirs, her head feels muzzy and the air feels cool, suggesting the night has deepened. She sits up slowly and blinks in confusion as she gazes around, finding herself atop a bed in an unfamiliar room. It is simply decorated and sparsely furnished, lit dimly by a single lantern beside the bed. The moon still sits high in the sky, barely visible beyond the open windows.
She feels strangely, too. Energy pulses beneath her skin, alive and thrumming in her heart, her lungs, every muscle in her body. She lifts her hands and examines her palms—turns them to examine the backs, her knuckles. She can feel it in her fingertips, swirling like a dust storm buffeting against the confines of her skin, threatening to seep through the pores.
How strange…
