Is today ‘Make Clark Suffer Day’ or did I miss something?

Like… I’m not complaining, but there seems to be a lot of posts in the tags where Clark is suffering. I’m just curious—

Mitsuru planted a chaste kiss on her lips when they're alone and hugged her tight. "Don't go, mon amour..." She whispered softly. "There's still time... let's go somewhere far away. Just you and me." Kotone looked more tired and out of it lately and alarm bells sounded in her mind.

What was wrong with her?!

Kotone had a smile on her face as she was held, leaning on the red head happily. "You telling me to miss school? So unlike you." She looked up, looking her in the eye. Mitsuru didn't know that it was already set in motion. But she'd be here to keep that promise they all made.

A hand came up to Mitsuru's face, laying gently on her cheek. "It will be okay. We all have a future we fought for."

It's nearing the end of the story but by the end of the confession letter Jekyll attaches '100 of the most funniest dad jokes to die to' so Utterson can join them.

For the anon who wanted recs: I haven't found any ducking-out fic that seemed IC to me, but Trust; Fall by Feather_Quill_Ambition is some amazing post-POF sadness!

Bless you, anon, because this fiction was great. I’ve just read it right now and wow. Wow.

First of all, the use of the second person. It’s always a very interesting choice and, in this case, it was used in a perfect way. It keeps the point of view both near and far, not too into Roman’s head, but not too far either. A perfect balance.

I especially adored Roman’s thoughts on Logan. How he admires Logan’s cold rationality and how he doesn’t like it at the same time. It’s interesting, because that’s a huge part of Logan’s self (he is Logic, after all). And, with his actions, Roman seems to imply an unconscious fear towards this cold, crushing rationality - at least in that peculiar moment in which he was more fragile than usual. I really appreciated it.

Remus’ moment was also very nice. Nothing too sappy, nothing too cold. A great moment between brothers.

But all conversations are great. All thoughts are great. Seriously, I can’t find a boring part nowhere, because of how well it’s organized. And the writing style is very good too: clear, understandable, with wonderful hints. A very good job.

So, well, I hope the previous anon will read this and will read the fiction too, because it’s a great piece of Roman angst. 

As for me, I would like to thank you, anon, for this recommendation, because it was a great fiction and I really enjoyed it :D
