Lets get this chap out of the way first, ‘Pyramid Head‘ is probably the most iconic creature in Silent Hill and his design is instantly recognisable to even to casual horror fans.

Despite serving it’s narrative purpose long ago this mysterious creature has been wheeled out many times over the years as the unofficial mascot of the series.

On September 24th it will be 20 years since this nightmare being was first scorched into our minds.

AX '07-13 - Pyramid Head '07 was my first time at Anime Expo, and also the final year it was hosted in Long Beach, before moving to downtown Los Angeles. It was certainly a sight to behold, especially the legion of cosplayers. In the course of my wanderings, I was pursued by a most disturbing figure. :| ...But still stopped running long enough to snap a picture, of course. =P
