Dear Vector Prime, your description of the retrorat-spawning technorganic trees that came to be generations after Primal's sacrifice has made me curious regarding the other forms of technorganic life that evolved long after the Great Transformation. Could you perhaps tell us more about this alien (well, more alien than usual) Cybertron?

Dear Technorganic Technician, 

The newly-technorganic Cybertron was a living world, boasting just as much biodiversity and exotic species as your own planet. The Great Transformation altered the planet in ways large and small; the supernatural energies unleashed during the event, for instance, pushed the planet closer to its star and altered its axial tilt to ensure that the newborn biosphere would enjoy a tropical climate all year round. 

In some ways, it seemed as though Primus, the Oracle, Vector Sigma, or whoever else had analyzed the long history of the Cybertronian race and sought to actively cull our worst impulses by changing our homeworld in ways both large and small. For instance, Cybertronians soon discovered that several tree species on this new Cybertron grew fruits filled with different varieties of energon. Another kind of tree secreted a nanite-based resin; if tapped, this resin could “grow” into any kind of preprogrammed structure. Cybertronians would never want for building materials or fuel again, and in the weeks that followed the Great Transformation the lands outside of Cybertropolis and Vos became vast orchards. Other discoveries laid the grounds for new infrastructure: they cultivated and harnessed a symbiotic species of fiber-optic vine that carried water and electricity, and soon discovered that a species of flower that lured in pollinators with elaborate holograms could become a planet-wide telecommunication system. Sending a message from Hexima to Cybertropolis was as simple as finding a grove of flowers and stroking its petals in the right way.

The first Cybertronians to re-emerge from the cataclysm initially saw the animals as curiosities at best, pests at worse, but as generations passed it soon became clear that they, too, had a part to play in the ecology of this world. Early farmers fenced off their orchards to protect them from retrorats and petro-rabbits; later farmers discovered that, if they fed upon energon fruits, their waste products could be turned into a potent starship fuel. Other creatures were based on the ancient animals that roamed Cybertron long before the coming of the Cybertronians; gigantic bats soared on the skies, their photovoltaic wings turning sunlight into energy, while herds of herbivorous ungulates patrolled the roads and rail lines, keeping them clear from any encroaching plant life. Even in the oceans, creatures like m-rays and chelonoids swept the seas for pollution, keeping the warm azure waters—and the reef-modems within—as pristine as the day when they were created.

Dear Vector Prime, tell me, are there any timelines where Savage Noble survived Megatrons attempt at controlling Cybertron, perhaps even found a new race of purely organic transformers?

Dear Evolutionary Enthusiast,

There are indeed some realities where the Savage/Noble creature escaped death and survived to the end of the Spark War and the Great Transformation. Unfortunately, as to the second part of your question—organic beings need at least two individuals to propagate, and the circumstances of his birth meant that there would only ever be one of his kind.

This is not to say that the new Cybertron lacked for unusual life-forms, however—generations after Optimus Primal’s sacrifice, one of the planet’s most ubiquitous forms of wildlife was a technorganic tree species that “fruited” thousands of small green retrorats every year.
