This was going to be a disaster.  He’d asked some of his men to look for any type of signs for the man with whom Chuuya had used corruption on and yet had been seen after that same fight. Having an involvement in the Arahabaki project, he knew quite well of the destructive power that Chuuya was capable of. The only other thing that would be able to stand up to that type of power should be another God. But what he’d seen on the reports - it sounded like no God that he’d ever heard of. None from this world, at the very least. And now his men had to bring something so dangerous right to his front door? He could feel a headache building as he walked quickly through the corridors. How to control something that he had no idea of?  With a sigh, he typed in the key pass, entering the secure inner sections of the lab and over to the room where the strange man was being kept - luckily his men had been wise enough not to try and contain him but something told him this was going to give him one heck of a headache. Would his ability even work on something like this? A million questions, excitement and fear all swirled together but he was rather calm as he walked into the room to address the other.  “Good afternoon - I must apologise for the manner in which you were bought here...I had asked my men to search for you, nothing more than that. I simply wished to speak with the man who’d stood against the powers of a God and lived to tell the tale”.

Howard is just kind of…standing there. Waiting for his next command.

          “You there!! -- I saw in this ad here-” he holds up a coupon clipping he tore from a magazine, “They have these flashlights on sale, buy three get two free! Oh, and this~ This buy one get one free deal! For a frying pan!” 

           casually slipping out a wad of cash he hands it to Howard.  Grin on his lips and eyes filled with a child-like excitement. 

                              “Isn’t that amazing!?  Thrifty shopping is so exciting!  I need you to experience it with me!”

the sound of r’lyehian after so long without hearing it is some sort of comfort, but tesla’s impossible personality greets lovecraft’s interjection in their natural tongue with an exasperated sigh, eyes rolling even as a smile pulls at the corners of his lips. “ be careful that no one’s within earshot, or you’ll hurt one of these fragile little human minds, ” he chides, in english for another moment.

the amusement stays, but something in his demeanor changes as he slips into that old speech as well. “ you know i don’t give answers that easily, cthulhu. ” the words and lovecraft’s true name fall from his tongue in that glottal language, laced with a sweet poison that matches the dangerous glint in his eyes. “ but! if you must know... ” he’s slipped into english again, reaching one hand out to idly smooth wrinkle on the lapel of lovecraft’s jacket with a leather-gloved hand. “ this rag-tag bunch positively reeks of chaos. ” his voice is hushed, like it’s a secret to be kept within the family ( however distant from each other and human family dynamics they may be ).

the smile on his face has gone from amused to something truly twisted — something inexplicable and deep and inhuman glinting through his cold, living eyes. “ why, you know i wouldn’t miss that for anything. ” // @great0ld0nes​ | cont.

Nonverbal RP Starters: Accepting!

He wasn’t sure what did it; the sheer amount of food that he had been pressured into eating, and the lack of self restraint on his part to say no (and, perhaps, his stubbornness and pride which refused to allow him to let Margaret have the upper hand in yet another stupid argument), the fact that some of the food did not agree with him, or a mix of both. Either way the end result was him excusing himself back to his room, specifically his bathroom where he was currently doubled over, clutching the toilet bowl for dear life as his stomach revolted against him.

This was why he didn’t do parties, especially fancy ones that he could not turn down the invitation. Something always managed to go wrong, no matter his intentions and self restraint in the beginning.

At the very least he was alone to suffer and that no one could see him in such a mortifying state, or so he thought until he felt a hand rub his back.

Looking up, he noticed that Lovecraft had followed him back. Honestly he was the last Guild member that Nathaniel would have imagined to see, especially in such a state, but before he could even say anything, another wave of nausea sent him back to looking over the toilet bowl.

This was going to last a while.
