After the big lost to Kidouin and his Proto Emperor, Sumeragi created two identical new cars for the Dash Warriors, one of them fall to the hand of Yonkuro and granted the name Dash 01 Super Emperor while the other one was sent to Genkuro, Yonkuro's father who was later modified it and sent it back to Sumeragi. Later the unit was named Dash 001 Great Emperor, despite the name, Great Emperor design was kind of a balanced mash up between the Dash 0 Horizon and Dash 1 Emperor. Equiped with its Horizon inspired rear spoiler, rear cowl, and front spoiler you have the Great Emperor Super Aero Formation, remove all of that, you will have yourself a Great Emperor Naked Form. In the manga the Great Emperor is superior to Dash 01 Super Emperor, but at some point Yonkuro decided to remove the rear spoiler, cowl, and front spoiler to remove the strong downforce and allows the Great Emperor to regains its full superior performance. So its kind of having two characteristic in one car.. Well in my opinion, the Super Aero Formation design is closer to the Dash 0 Horizon while the Naked Formation is the closest one to the Dash 1 Emperor. Oukay.. Personal part.. Dash 01 Great Emperor was my first miniyonku before the Avante Jr. Bought it in 1993 i think.. It was a zero chassis Great Emperor released in 1991, the premium one was released in 2012, as all other dash machine premium release, it was also came with the super ii chassis with orange accent..
