Finally locked in and drew Theokaris. Theo is a former priest of Temperentia Dei who left the clergy out of nowhere, disappearing for several years before buying a delapidated inn named the Hung Stag. Through a murder mystery, he ends up in possession of @tsunderegoblin's Taffy, a goblin slave. I imagine this is them out at the marketplace, maybe Theo giving Taffy a better vantage point to people watch. Lineart below cus I kinda like it.
“What’s your name?” she asks, lifting the honey dipper and drizzling her tea, “You didn’t say.”
“Killian.”
She glances up at him through her lashes, her long, delicate ears flicking.
“No titles?”
His expression does not change.
“Many.”
She laughs, covering her mouth with her hand as she does.
“My, such self assurance!”
He sips his tea, shrugging mildly. It would be uncouth, he thinks but doesn’t say, considering my titles mean nothing to you.
“What’s your name?”
She looks out the window for a moment before she meets his eyes.
“I am Lunar Memory,” she says, “And this is my birdcage.”
Her smile still seems genuine, despite the sardonic shadow looming behind her words.
“You can call me Mem, if you like.”
Decided to sketch up Rho's end point look cus why not. Might go make this an actual piece later. Text version of the notes plus a mini glossary below.
Rho realises the true nature of the Justicar and the Codex. He reconciles with it and their fusion grants him the full extent of it's power. Now capable of protecting the world from the corruption, he is able to battle filament breaches confidently.
Now considered as the final Vessel of the Justicar. Referred to as Rho the Reborn God of Justice. He doesn't necessarily consider himself a god- not yet, at least. One day, hundreds of years from now, he will be. For now, he is a man with a great deal of power who wants to do the right thing.
Should there be a time where the dreaded Sundrowner returns, Rho will join the fight to protect the people from another Witch's Eclipse.
Glossary terms if you're curious!
The Justicar and the Codex: A powerful being that is worshipped as a god. It possess mortal vessels who become the Justicar. The Codex is it's 'body', a strange interlocking mass of magic that is fused to Rho's undead heart.
Corruption: A parasitic plane of existence that routinely tries to draw energy from the material plane.
Filament breaches: The way in which the corruption breaks into the material plane. They appear as gaps in reality and endlessly warp the world around them.
Sundrowner: The most powerful man to ever be born. The first Witchlord. The dreaded beast who pulled the sun out of the sky and enslaved a large portion of the world in the process. His bishops escaped when he was killed and he still has cults that are attempting to resurrect him. Everyone in a position of power has to worry about what would happen if he came back. (Filament breaches also tend to spit out Echoes, copies of beings from the material plane, and it is also a possibility that one day it spits out an Echo of Sundrowner. Which would also be bad.)
The goblin clings onto the stool, kicking the backs of her feet on legs. She stares, delighted, across the bar at the two paladins pointedly ignoring her.
Yefemi (mine), a former thief turned security detail and Azizi (@clownfagguette), the prize star of the Velvet Fang, sharing a little moment during a show.
I started this in December 2023 orz, so I figured as a warmup today I'd just finish it. Zima Urusova, progenitor of the Urusov Dynasty (now defunct) and First Vessel of the Justicar.
MAJOR ARCANA: STRENGTH.
Representing power, courage, action.
It took me so long to finish this that the associated mount changed from lions to harpy eagles. Let's just say this is Nero's mount before he changed into a griffon, shall we?
