Teaching Opportunit​ies - On Campus Interviews

Are you interested in teaching – with or without certification – with the Great Hearts Academies?  Read below for information regarding upcoming on-campus interviews and specific instructions on the application process.

The Phoenix, AZ-based Great Hearts Academies, the nation’s only network of “Great Books” public charter schools, is returning to the UD campus in February to conduct interviews for teaching positions in grades K-12.  Great Hearts has hired dozens of UD graduates in the last few years to come to Phoenix and teach subjects ranging from geometry, Latin, history, natural science, to literature and philosophy. 

Great Hearts’ mission is to bring a classical, liberal arts education to as many students as possible, in accessible public schools with no tuition.  UD has emerged as one of the few places in the country where Great Hearts can consistently find aspiring teachers who have both the intellectual depth and the deep heart of charity it is looking for in new hires. 

Veritas Prep and Archway-Veritas, two schools which share a stunning new 13-acre campus with the Great Hearts headquarters, will be conducting interviews for teaching candidates on Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23 in Carpenter 141. 

To obtain an interview, please do 2 things:

Go to the “Careers” portal at www.greatheartsaz.com and submit an on-line application for the 2012-2013 school year;
