Three questions for the Greek fandom if there still is one…

1. Does anyone ship Casey/Cappie/Evan and if so is there a tag?

2. Is there a gifset of all the meta jokes from the show like where Ben Bennett went etc?

3. Is the best tag for the show greekabc or something different?

Watched 4 seasons of Greek over the last few weeks and while I loved all of it, you better believe the bit I loved the most of all was Beaver singing the word Greek over the opening theme in that one episode...

If it has a decent ship then i might check Greek out. Why exactly do you like the show and the ship you mentioned? Ill let you know what i think.

Excellent questions! 

The Show Itself: The series is based around a Universities Greek system and the people who belong to/associate with the people who belong to those frats/sororities. While there are some stereotypes and certain problematic areas (due to the basis of the show and the time period), over all it’s a really fun and lighthearted show that induces a ton of feel good fun time nostalgia, even if you weren’t in the system during your college years (I most definitely wasn’t). 

It also has some really great characters, and almost all of those characters have consistent and interesting individual arcs that stem beyond just Greek life or romance. They also all interact with one another in new and fresh ways, there are m/f friendships that don't always involve sex, m/m friendships that absolutely slay bro-code social norm stereotypes, f/f friendships that pass the bechdel test, and gay characters who have storylines which aren’t completely immersed in the fact their characters are gay. Literally every main character holds depth and feels complex (for what the show is), without leaving the viewer feeling overwhelmed. They pace their show very well. 

The Ship I Love: I would still watch the series regardless, but I wouldn’t be flying through the show like I am, if it weren’t for Cappie and Casey. I don’t want to give too much away and spoil things if you’re going to watch the show (you should), but it’s a ship with a TON of content, history, and build up. When we first meet them in the pilot, they are exes from freshman year, now juniors, but still friends with tension, if you will. They date other people, sleep with other people, almost get engaged to other people, but always stay present in one another lives, acting as support systems and truly do have a beautifully solid friendship, not to mention absolutely insane chemistry. Even when they are in other relationships, the tension between them is still palpable, and the show keeps that consistency very prevalent, which I think is important. It’s not one of those ships that date for awhile, die, and then come back out of no where (something even Dawsons Creek, my fav, is guilty of). It doesn’t matter where they go, or who else they think they love, they are drawn together in this inexplicable, incredible way that makes you root for them with your whole heart. They are also polar opposites, but not in a tropey way. Moreso in a realistic way and it presents itself as a obstacle they have to work through, not just a cutesy character frame--like “oh we’re totally opposite but we work so well, isn’t that adorable?!” It causes real life issues. At the same time, they know their differences help them become better versions of themselves--it’s just a matter of figuring out that balance, and applying it in a positive way. 

And the angst. There is. So. Much. Angst.
