Idk what this is about lol
People are so fucking whiny, it makes sense that Dean and Allie's story is next. And honestly, if people read Logan's book, it makes even more sense that his story will start in season 2 and continue in season 3.
I honestly haven’t seen a single person upset over this news lol
The Carson news is super sad, he is great at playing Ty Townsend so he will be missed for season 5. But am I the only one getting the vibe that people maybe be overreacting with this news? Unless I read it wrong, the article says he is sitting out for this season, it doesn’t say he’s fully left the show. The show runner suggests he may be back if the shows gets renewed for a season 6.
As the person who wrote the article and conducted the interview, I can tell you: she said the “door is open.” What that means, who knows. But the door is open.
I don’t think the show will go beyond s5 without Carson. This is really the end of the show.
That’s not how I see it. The internet is not the general audience and this is an ensemble show mainly focused around 3 adult women with plenty to offer and a ton of other characters, too. Trust me, I’m disappointed, but I love this show and hope it continues on for more.
A lot of people questioning if Carson Rowland will be in Sweet Magnolias season 5, and I haven’t been able to answer but now I can. Ty wont be in Serenity this time around, as Carson is sitting out this season. I have lots of great coverage for season 5 coming, but first, a chat with showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson and Anneliese Judge, who plays Annie, about the change:
'Sweet Magnolias' showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson confirms Carson Rowland's season 5 exit and teases how the series will move forward without
Do you think Carson is in S5 of Sweet Magnolias? He was MIA from the trailer.
He is not.

“the cast feels much, MUCH more enthusiastic being a part of the show” feels a little bit unfair because if you compare the enthusiasm between both first seasons promo, there’s really not much difference. It’s only changed as the shows gotten more popular and people have become increasingly weird towards the actors of TSITP/the people around them
I personally disagree with this statement, but that’s OK! My opinion.
Dare I saw off campus is SO MUCH better than summer I turned pretty??
I like it better too. I think seasons 1 and 2 of TSITP are very charming. I didn’t love season 3 when it went off book. I haven’t read the Off Campus books, but it sounds like it’s going more off book from the jump, and I’m loving the changes I’m reading about. I also really, really love the idea of an ensemble-based NA series that world builds beyond what is ultimately one singular love story.
I also really love that the show is turning over faster, and that the cast feels much, MUCH more enthusiastic being a part of the show. At least for now.
That all being said, we don’t really need to compare, you know? I mean they are so different outside their intended demos/genres. But if you’re asking which show I’m personally pressing play on first for a rewatch? It’s Off Campus.
Honestly if anything needs to be compared it’s TSITP and the upcoming Prime show Every Year After. Many more similarities.
Thoughts on the 9 year age difference between Ella and Belmont? At first it did make me a little uneasy but after watching them together in interviews, both with each other and the full cast, they seem to be very comfortable with each other.
Ella has stressed how comfortable she is. The — ALL FEMALE — creative team (so writers and directors, all women) has stressed how seriously they took it. Intimacy coordinators were on set, confirmed. Whole show was shot through the female gaze. Seems like everyone is safe and happy on that set. That’s all I need to know, and I certainly don’t know better than any of them.
And this shouldn’t even matter beyond all the above, but Ella didn’t do any full nudity and I’d argue for what the show is and compared to other scenes, her intimate moments were tamer, which personally only reinforces the idea everyone was very aware of the situation.
You can never know what actually happens if you aren’t around, but I’m going to believe the actress in question because it’s her life, her job, her body, her choice, and I’m certainly going to be more apt to believe protections were in place when women are at the top.
I think more so from a physicality pov - Dean on Off Campus reminded me of JJ from Outer Banks! The swoopy blonde hair and dimples, bff vibes,
I think physically, yes, but the characters are nearly polar opposites despite both being good friends.
have you watched the trailer for the new netlfix movie "Voicemails for Isabelle?" I never watched it but it looks almost exactly like that movie "Love Again" with Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan, lol. I adore Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson and this genre so I'll definitely watch it either way, lol.
Yes! I think Nick Robinson is so charming and Zoey would have chemistry with a brick, so I can’t wait. Although it certainly is eerily similar to Love Again, lol. And I did see it.
Omggg I finally finished off campus and am obsessed!! Need all your thoughts!! And did you love Garrett Graham?!
You know — I loved the show, and I loved how the guys were written, and I love Hannah and Garrett!! But I didn’t really fall in love with him for myself, haha. Like, in the way people are thirsting after him. Certainly understand it from a removed place! But I’m not daydreaming about Garrett asking me to make a deal.
That said, the show is amazing and I’ve already watched it twice!
your interview with ryan guzman…. i’m 👀
IDK what that means but I hope you enjoyed it!
I haven’t watched Off Campus yet or read the books. I have seen some clips, and Dean is giving me Cappie vibes a little. So, I thought I’d ask you as the resident Cappie expert lol. If he isn’t giving the Cappie vibe, somebody really should be.
No he is nothing like Cappie lol
I am here for the enemies-to-brothers relationship we are about to get with Dean and Hunter.
SPOILERS
Hey so I haven’t read the books so please don’t send me any more spoilers thank you!!
How's the romance in Off Campus balance wise? I'm someone who doesn't subscribe to the the guy needs to fall harder trend that everyone seems to be obsessed with. I need both characters to be genuinely as in love with each other and showing it with actions and words throughout so I can't tell who is more in love and not just by my interpretation but in the actual story.
SPOILERS
He for sure falls first but they definitely fall equally in the end. I thought the romance was delightful!
Will you be reading the off campus book (or even just the deal) now that you've watched the season? I read the deal when it first came and it has been a comfort read of mine since then and even I didn't mind the changes they made to the show! The one aspect that I missed was a bit of the intimacy between Hannah and Garrett, specifically around Hannah gaining more confidence in her sexuality and the banter that existed between her and Garrett in this space too. But in the context of the show, the pacing made sense!
Already purchased! But I think I’ll stop after the first one. I’ve recently realized how much more fulfilling it is to read the book AFTER watching the adaptation.
