So I finished Green Hell & I honestly didn't expect this kinda story from a survival game. It went from looking for your wife to utterly tragic really quickly & I'm still trying to recover several days later

I've seen a lot of claims that Mia can't be alive, but I don't believe it's true. It's realistic that she hasn't died until the ending.
She's still alive during the Omulu expedition.
The specific time at which a person dies after becoming infected with the virus is unknown. People in the gold mine died in free weeks, but they were living in awful conditions, while Mia is in hospital. Mia said "everybody got infected, even you". Jake had the virus too, but he doesn't seem to be dying.
The decomposition of Alvarez's body and the overgrowth of the tents could have taken place within a few weeks. Alvarez got missing before the evacuation. Additionally, the items in the laboratory were in perfect condition. So it seems that by the time the good ending happens, it might be just a several weeks after the camp's evacuation.
In the Ayahuasca vision Jake said: "Now I know where to find you". Mia asked: "You think I'm still waiting for you?" and Jake can answer: "yes, you're a fighter" or less certain options - nevertheless, he is uncertain, but hopeful.
Hey uh if anyone knows if there’s a tag for the Green Hell game specifically, like a fandom tag or something, PLEASE TELL ME. Because I’m finding virtually no content for Green Hell in #green hell
It’s mostly race cars and photography 😭
Unintentionally made Green Hell harder by going exploring without food or water in the local caves. 10/10 would not recommend
Just found the airstrip & it's given me a lot to think about. In fact I'm not sure that Jake isn't in the middle of a nervous breakdown
First base in the abandoned camp. Bit of a work in progress
I think that playing without the Waraha warriors (e.g. a walk in the park) isn't unrealistic to the story.
In the story mode, it adds to the atmosphere: "everybody's dead".
In the SoA, it seems like they were defeated by other tribes and the cartel. The wounds and deaths of the tribe members seem to be a result of a fight. The cartel's note states literally that they wanted the natives dead and probably the Waraha were more aggressive towards them. In addition, Jake isn't some kind of Rambo killing dozens of people in the jungle. It seems he reached the rainforest during the fights and then only helps the tribes after a costly victory.
By now I felt sure of the mechanics of survival games. Food, water & shelter. Then Green Hell comes along & whacks you with the insanity bat, with a side order of small poisonous creatures that will fuck you up. Don't even get me started on the jaguars.
