Throwback to when I found this erythristic Chortophaga viridifasciata! That was definitely the highlight of my year in May of 2021! Never seen another since. So glad this girl made it to adulthood!

Service court, Greenbelt, Maryland, 1969.

Was staying with some friends who lived in the early "garden city" where parking, clothes lines and the like were relegated to courts behind the superblocks of town houses facing onto shady streets.

The rear of my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda which served me on several transcontinental drives is in the lower center. On occasion I still miss it even if it did not have air conditioning.
