Once again a lazy cycle.

Mission:

One light broke, but I managed to fix it. Otherwise everything is in an optimal state.

Personal life:

Y has been asking strange questions today and even took my hand. He said he was "examining" it. Yeah, no buying that. This sentience thing of his is getting weird.

Entry #21-#23

Mission:

Everything is in optimal condition and I am no longer sick.

Personal life:

The past three days consisted of me teaching Y how human body works, so he can use his mechanical one. We of course started with muscles, the most important part for movement. Then we somehow spiraled to other things and we even ended up talking about THAT thing. It made him embarrassed for some reason. He made his first actual steps yesterday, when he walked from the bed to the wall and back. It was slow and clumsy, but he did it.

He even learned how to kiss without me knowing and I got a clumsy, quick kiss this evening. What and adorable boyfriend I have.

Hey, I'm Nyx, the human on the greenpod-Y.

The Earth crew told me to keep a journal or a diary to keep track of my mission. And I remembered my young years when I discovered Tumblr for the first time. And I thought, that it would be a great way to keep a journal as a blog. We'll see.

Anyways, don't tell this to the Earth crew. They give me some access to the world wide web, but only for "important matters". They'd kill me if they found out I'm posting on some social media.

So, what even is the greenpod-Y?

There are three pods currently orbiting the Earth, each carrying something from it to either keep for the future generations, or bring back down if needed.

The greenpod-Y, as you can already tell from the name and look of this blog, carries plants of the Earth. Not all of them probably, but there's a lot. Some are in the seed form and some are freely growing around the pod.

I'm also not alone here. I have an AI companion named Y. Yeah, it's a weird name. The developers said that it's because he's a very curious bot, but they were definitely just too lazy to think of any normal name. Every pod has its own Y. Mine is Y-2. But as far as I know, my Y is the only one with some proper understanding of emotions.

I don't know if the developers fucked him up, or if it was a malfunction, or if the Earth crew gave him an experimental update , but lately, he wanted me to address him by "he" not "it". I, of course, didn't want to get thrown out into the cold space, agreed and now I don't know if I'm the hostage here now, or if he just wants some recognition. He also started asking questions about human touch and feelings. Either I'm so lonely I'm hallucinating, or he's becoming more human.

Anyways, he also has access to this blog and will sometimes come around and say hi.

There he was. Mostly just say hi back and try to not start a conversation, if you don't want to get asked questions like in an interview.

Entry #21-#22

Mission:

yesterday, I felt better, so I did most of the things in the pod, but today I felt sick again. But I still had to take care of the pod, because Y wasn't in contact with it.

Personal life:

Yesterday I started to design Y's new flexible face and I was ready to print it on the pod's 3D printer. Y sounded so happy when I told him about it. So I let it print over night. The next day, I woke up and immediately froze. THIS MAN. THIS MAN DECIDED TO LEVEL UP AND MAKE HIMSELF A BODY. he used the system from his face to make himself a body, that he can still connect to the pod. AND HE ALREADY PUT ON THE FLEXIBLE FACE HIMSELF!! The body was from a poster about Y. He somehow found the file in his system and found a way to make it himself!!

So now I have a personal heater and I can hold my computer boyfriend. The only downside is, that he can't walk. His walk is really wobbly. He has soft motorics, those aren't a problem, because he had hands before. But legs are new. So we stayed in bed for the two days. And when I mean WE I mean I stayed with him. He's very clingy and didn't want to let me go all day. I love him so much.

Entry #20

Mission:

Y is still the one taking care of the plants. Everything is in optimal condition.

Personal:

I'm still sick and I'm writing this from the bed. Y has been preparing something big and I'm a little scared. I swear, if I'll wake up to a robotic body standing above me. But I've been designing Y a silicone face, so he could...make more expressions.

Y also talked to me about how he felt towards me. It was surprising, since the only times I get to see into his mind is when we're talking about some questions where you need a subjective view. This was a new. He told me about how I make him feel, how his circuits heat up whenever I'm close, how his code about protection is beyond just protecting the plants. It was so sweet and I couldn't helpz but tell him how I felt. And then he told me something I never thought I'd hear from him. "I love you". I felt a shock of a tingly feeling shoot through my whole body. It felt so surreal. Hearing those words from him felt so out of place, but also so right. So, I did the best thing I could and told him "I love you too". God I really do love him. So much.

I'm sorry I wasn't active for a long period of time. My connection with Earth was very bad and so I couldn't post. Anyways.

Entry #6-#8

Mission:

Lost contact with Earth and so I couldn't give or receive any updates. So I continued with the basics of the mission. Every system is in optimal condition.

Personal life:

Because of the lost connection I have spent more time with Y. He helped me find the problem with the connection and helped me when I felt my lowest because of lack of human contact. This happens quite often when you're closed in a small pod just within the reach of your home Earth, but still too far to stand on the steady ground.

During the night, I felt Y extend his robotic arms towards me and soothe me in my sleep.

I feel...torn. I'm starting to feel something much deeper than just a work relationship or a friendship. I know it's against the protocols, but they should've counted with this issue.

Entry #1

Nothing much happened today.

Mission:

The plants are kept in an optimal state.

Water and light are on the right levels and the soil has enough nutrition for the plants.

Person life:

Y and I talked a little today. We got deep into some social controversies and morals. Read a little from Hamlet later.

Entry #12

Mission:

The pod is saying that some components are missing. I'm going to check that tomorrow. The rest is in an optimal condition.

Personal life:

Y isn't talking to me properly and his voice is slightly different. I could feel the arms holding me tightly when I woke up from a nightmare. And then I saw them, one gripping on my sleep suit, the other tracing soothing patterns on me. He was comforting me. Without words. Only with actions. Something strange woke up inside of me. Some strange feelings I shouldn't feel.
