2) do you like anyone right now?Noooo sadly I am not really out there enough to meet people TO like. Very annoying, honestly, because I enjoy the feeling of having a crush. 

8) what’s something romantic you wish someone would do for you?I have always wanted someone to send me flowers at work. But since I’m not working right now, I would wake up to a text from a love that says “check outside” and find a bouquet of pretty flowers for no reason other than that the person wanted me to feel special. 

10) do you get flustered when someone is flirting with you?Picture me trying to remember being flirted with right now...uhhhh...ok just kidding, it’s been a long time but I turn into such a dork when someone flirts with me. first off I don’t believe it’s happening, you gotta be BLATANT ok? and then once I realize that’s what’s going on? I will giggle and get super awkward and probably blushy BUT I will also flirt back? but like. finger guns flirting? Yeah, it’s. something.

1) describe your idea of a perfect dateHonestly right now the perfect date would be someone bringing me food and then sitting with me talking and cuddling and drinking tea, probably watching a movie we’ve seen before and commenting on it together (any HP, LOTR, MCU, etc). There’s a blanket and maybe we fall asleep together. 

3) do you want kids?NOOOOO!!! I do wanna hang out with other people’s kids though. Big time. 

5) describe the cutest date you’ve ever been onI dated an old housemate of mine a while before we lived together (we’re still friends now) and their dates were always the most fun. One time we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and then along the promenade, and another time we took the F train to Coney island and rode the Cyclone together. Those are cute, right? 

7) are you a morning time gay or night time gay?LATE NIGHT ALL THE WAY, either it’s karaoke til the bar closes down or writing gay fanfic til dawn. 

9)  opinion on brown eyes?Fabulous, brilliant, beautiful, amazing

11) would you ever date someone who owned rodents or reptiles?YESSSS i would happily play with a rattie or a snek or something of that sort!!

13) what is a misconception you had about lgb people before you realized you were one?umm idk, maybe I thought you had to know from the time you were 5? While that’s the case for some folks it’s not true for everyone. 

15) (if attracted to more than one gender) do you have different “types” for different genders?Ummm yes! But I guess several different types? I like hard femmes and nb/genderqueer/trans folks who express femme masculinities. I also enjoy an old school butch (as long as their thoughts on gender aren’t old school) and masculine of center folks who tend to not identify as butch even if they’re often labeled as such.

23) have you ever been in love?Pretty much always

25) how do you determine if you want to be them or be with someone?Shit, have I ever properly determined that?? I think I just know after a while. If I want to be someone I don’t pine for them the same way. But also the lines are very blurry for me at times. 

27) what is a piece of advice you have for young / baby gays: Nothing you decide about your identity has to be a fixed point. As you get older, you’re allowed to change your own labels whenever and however you need. So it’s ok to say you’re bi at 19 and then a lesbian at 21 and pan at 25 and then back to bi again at 30. As long as you aren’t doing any harm to folks (or intentionally erasing the identity of your partner/s), it’s all ok. 

29) what is the most uncomfortable / strange coming out experience you have? When I came out to my mom, it was over the phone at age 25, and I told her by saying I was coming for a visit with the person I was dating, “because she has a car, so we can make the drive down together.” My mother paused for maybe one second and asked, “Did you say she IS a car?”

It was so awkward but also hilarious. Like she wanted to react to the she thing but realized she couldn’t? IDK. I made fun of her at the time (how could I not?) and she called me two days later to say she was worried I wouldn’t want to have children. I did want kids at the time, so I asked her if she wanted me to be pregnant then, at 25, barely making rent and looking for a job that wasn’t just part time. She didn’t ask me about it again, and when I brought it up to her much later (after my sister had 4 kids) she was actually really grateful I hadn’t had kids. **shrug**

1. animated character that was your gay awakening? ohh probably esmeralda from the hunchback of notre dame or kida from atlantis: the lost empire... 😳😳 2. grilled cheese or pb&j? grilled cheese for SURE! 4. your go-to bar order, if you drink? i don’t go to bars and i barely drink, but my favourite alcoholic drink is just vodka. recently i’ve been mixing it w elderberry juice, but usually i just have a shot or two as it is!
