Ability to compose and embroider designs on fabric was regarded both as a major accomplishment and an indication that one was au fait with the aesthetic influences of the period. The boxes associated with the work had to be of the expected artistic standard. They reflected both the personality and the social standing of the user. . . . . . #greenlacquer #angloindian #angloindianbox #sewingbox #antiques #gardencourt #sanfrancisco #sf #boxes #vintagebox #exquisite #interiordesign #boxcollection #vintagebox #antiquebox #vintageboxes #interiors #maximalism #homedesign #designinspiration #grandmillenium #homedecor #artandantiques #interiors #designanddecoration #homedesign #decorativeantiques #teacaddies #workbox (at Garden Court Antiques) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDuNaLnpgxV/?igshid=1wbo7fpd8kovz
