I saw the anon post and just wanted to chime in that I feel the same way. Sadly, white privilege does exist and so many people deny it because it makes them take a good look at themselves and realize that there is still so much injustice in the world. This is such a heartbreaking situation and I hate how it's being handled. Please know that so many people care and want to change the way things are!
Oh my goodness, I could not have put it any better myself. It definitely does force people to reflect on how they benefit from a crass system that oppresses so many others and they don’t want to feel ashamed for it and still others don’t even feel bad for it. But, it’s like how can you be okay with a system that denies others their basic human rights, you know? Really, thank you so much. It’s really, really encouraging to hear these things from white allies. It’s so emotionally and mentally draining, all of this. But, to see that there are white allies out there that truly understand and support this fight against racism and other injustices is really uplifting. Thank you for truly understanding. Thank you for your support.
