The purpose of this KAL/CAL is to generate awareness of the ridiculous amount of cyberbullying that goes on here and elsewhere in the fiber community. Someone being chastised to the point of being forced to make a public apology for liking the post of a pair of green socks on IG has inspired this KAL/CAL. No one should be reprimanded for appreciating a crafter’s FO. Period. Symbolism is fluid and although the ribbon color is blue for bullying, the symbolic sock color for this purpose is going to be green. 💚🧦💚🧦💚🧦 ... 1. All adult socks in their many forms, either knit or crochet, are welcome for entry. 2. ALL FOs should be posted to the hashtag #greensockskal. Please refrain from using this hashtag unless you have an FO to share. I will select winners via this hashtag. 3. FOs must have some green in them somewhere, even if it’s just a toe or a bit of green in a multi-color colorway. Socks do not have to be 100% green to qualify for entry. 4. WIPS count. If you already had a sock on the needles, by all means finish the pair and play along with us! 5. This event runs from Feb. 24 to April 1st. Winners will be chosen on April 2nd. 6. Winners will be chosen at random from the hashtag with the FO posts on Instagram only. This is an IG make-along. Photos of FOs associated with the event hashtag will be the only means of entry. 7.
