Hi there. My question is quite specific, I hope you can help. I'm planning to teach English in Norway, and I would definitely prefer the northern parts - You know why! (I'm going to have a CELTA, which is kind of a big thing.) I simply would like to know my chances for this great plan. I'm also learning Norwegian.. :) If you have any thoughts on this matter or you can suggest me any sites where I can find more info/tips I'd really appreciate your kindness. Thank you and take care!

Here’s a link from NAV, they are our labor and welfare administration, they have tips on how to move to Norway, and also you can find vacancies. Moving to Norway if you are a citizen of a country in the EU or the EEA is much easier than if you don’t come from one of these areas. Because the union’s rules about working in different countries also apply here. You can pretty much move everywhere as long as you get your permit from the country’s government. I’ll also include a link about being new in Norway.

As a citizen of an EU or EEA country, you are not obliged to take a Norwegian course but learning the language is always a plus. Also you should look for a job in videregående skole, these normally are people between 16 and 20, since I think it’s better to start where they already speak both English and Norwegian. You also have ungdomsskole which are grade 8-10, but generally I think videregående would be more likely to hire you.

Here’s a videregående located about 50 minutes from Oslo needing English teachers.
