⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ make sure your fed. doesn't care what time it is- he'll come into your shared apartment bedroom & ask. "you ate, right?"
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ thinks that the little kisses and hugs you share in the morning are the best part to his day. (they are, he'd just never mention it.)
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ brags about you to wilson considering his love life is... somewhat there. "and she made me pasta. how rad is that?"
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ since he's a doctor, he always knows what's wrong. just a sniffle you say? wrong!
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ also brags to cuddy about you. "oh you're just mad i'm getting some and you aren't." but to his dismay.. she doesn't care & sends him to clinic duty.
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ thinks it's not a huge deal when he'll come home with HUGE bouquets of your favourite flowers. "eh, just something i picked up on the way."
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ is so thankful you're there because sometimes- with his leg and all- it's hard for him to do certain stuff. the vicodin helps.. but not enough.
⋆。𖦹°⭒˚。⋆ planned to propose 4 years before he did it.
Hear me out, house will not use nicknames with his significant other but he will (and never admit it) love when they call him babe, love, darling, all of those. He will also love when they show physical affection (again, never admit it)
No you’re so right about this. Because you can bet your life savings House will look displeased and bitter and probably sigh a little bit whenever you come up to his side and lace your fingers with him or even stop by his office (if you work in a different department) and greet him with a ‘hey, love’ and kiss on the cheek. You can BET he’s gonna remain unfazed and look downright CONSTIPATED- especially if the ducklings are in the room- but you know what else you can bet? He won’t say anything against it, he won’t move away from your touch, and he sure as hell won’t complain.
Because hey, the head of diagnostics has a reputation to uphold. So he can’t shoo you away whenever you see House and Lisa getting into their argument and step into the office to fix House’s collar and touch up the lipstick stain on his neck that he ‘forgot’ to wipe off before clocking in.
I think there has definitely been a time when House had to treat a child who was super reserved. The kid refused to utter more than a sentence at most, wouldn’t offer help, and only stared at House and the team whenever they tried to get answers. This is where you come in. After hearing enough complaints from Greg, you decide to try to work your own pediatric magic. You make sure to bring three packs of green Jello- one for you, Greg, and the kid. That little olive branch got through to the kid that you were friend, not foe. And when Greg eventually came by to check the kid’s vitals, he saw you posted right up at the kid’s side, listening to them tell stories about being the fastest swimmer in the class and how they could play with cats for houuuuuuurrsss if their parents let them.
Then you offered him that little smile Greg would look for in a room of people and his eyebrows relaxed. “Did you know your doctor is my own husband?” You tell the kid. “He’s pretty cool, I promise. Greg, come sit with us, love.”
He can’t say no- won’t say no. Greg finds himself ambling over to you as you open up his Jello and slide your spoon in it. “Here, baby,” you murmur, handing it to him. “Did you know your patient here can do three whole backflips underwater without getting dizzy?”
Greg would have been find to eat his Jello if that was the end of it. He’d listen to his patient yammer on about what it is that kids do and only pay attention whenever you said something. But his plans were dashed to smithereens when you scooted your chair closer to his looped your arms around his and leaned on him- all while keeping conversation with this kid up. Greg ignored the skip in his heart- willed it to go away. But with you rubbing your thumb so tenderly on his hand, all he could think about was you.
I was hoping to request a house doc where have an on and off thing between them and it come to a night where House just admit how he truly feels about the reader(could be good or bad feelings☺️)
Feelings
Gregory House X Reader
Warnings: Kinda soft House, mention of hooking up
Author's Note: I am so sorry I'm just getting onto this! There have been a lot of things going on, but I am finally getting to a point where I am liking to write again. I absolutely adore this idea with House. I hope that you enjoy it!
You and House's relationship is.... quite complicated. Ever since you started working at Princeton-Plainsboro, he has basically been attached to you at the hip, similar to how him and Wilson are. You and House, recently, had an on and off thing after the two of you had one too many drinks. After that, however, it became a pretty frequent thing. At first it was the occasional hook up after a hard day at work, but after awhile it was more than just a random hookup, for you at least. You would get up the next morning and brew a pot of coffee for the both of you to share, even if he woke up after you. You would even make breakfast for the both of you before the two of you needed to head into work sometimes.
At work House would be his sarcastic and pessimistic self, but he seemed to change once the two of you were alone in either one of your apartments. Would he still be sarcastic? Yes, of course, but he was a lot less negative. You wondered why he acted differently, yet you could not ask him for the life of you.
After another long day at the hospital, you had gotten home and were already curled in bed with a novel you had been reading. Tonight was one of those nights where you and House decided that you needed some alone time, as the two of you had been hooking up the past few nights. This meant that you were not going to see him for another month outside of work. That is usually how it went, and it honestly sucked. He made it so easy to like him, despite what others may think. You have grown to love the sound of him playing piano when he thinks that you are asleep in his bed, the snores that come from him when you wake up earlier in the morning to sneak out of the apartment before Wilson could pick him up before work, and so much more when it came to Gregory House. Soft knocking can be heard from the front door of your apartment. You looked over at the clock on your bedside table and it read the time 12:34 am.
You hesitantly get out of bed and pull on a silk robe over the pajama shirt and pants that you currently adorned. You trudge your way to the door when there is another set of knocks. Without really thinking about it, you open the door and see House standing at your door with a bouquet of your favorite flowers. "Greg, what are you doing here so late?" You question then glance down at the flowers that are currently in his hand. "And how did you manage to get flowers at this hour?” You mention and he simple pushes past you with ease. You turn back to look at him, closing the door. He walks into your living room like he lives there. You follow him into your living room with a perplexed look on your face. He was unusually quiet, and he seemed to be stumped by something in his mind. That’s usually the only time that he becomes quiet. here lately he had been avoiding you at work, more focused on bothering the other doctors on his team and Wilson, and giving you crazy tasks that will take you hours to complete. He finally makes eye contact with you after placing the flowers on the coffee table and clearing his throat.
“I usually wouldn’t do something like this, but I can’t pretend that I do not care anymore. I could keep distancing myself like I always have and keep making fun of you, but the truth is I notice too much. I notice you the moment you walk into the room, as soon as you leave, how long you’ve been gone. I’ve spent years convincing myself I need no one, and I almost believed it.” He pauses for a moment and you step closer to him. You say nothing, and honestly you are dumbfounded by how vulnerable he was being right now. “Look, I am not good with this whole emotional, touchy-freely crap, but I feel different when I am around you. I think about you way too often, and I hate how much I need to have you around.” He pauses again when he realizes just how close you’ve gotten as he was speaking. Your heart is fluttering in your chest at his words, and you hope that you are not dreaming right now. Instead of letting him continue to blab when he takes a breath, you press your lips to his in a soft kiss. For a moment, but only a moment, he stands there in shock, but he eventually melts into the kiss. Before things get a bit too heated, you pull away. “You know you could have told me about your feelings sooner.” You say with a smirk, and he rolls his eyes dramatically as always. “That’s easy for you to say. I don’t see you putting everything out there like I just did.” He admits.
“That may be true,” you pause and pick up the flowers on the table, “but I am glad that you did.” You finish with a smile before he leans down and kisses you once more.
house x doctor!reader (you're also together 😛😋- around season 2!)
knocking on greg's office door, you sip your coffee, just praying you can go home soon.
this patient's case is so incredibly hard to crack and yet- all five of you- cameron, chase, foreman, house, and yourself, don't even know what this could be.
therefore, you've been at the hospital all since 9 this morning, from when cuddy had called you about rhis one of a kind symptom list.
your boyfriend, house, smirks as you sit on the chair across from the desk he's sat at.
"so tired." you murmured as he throws that red ball that he loves to play catch with, right at your face.
flinching at the sudden hit, you look at him, annoyed and unimpressed. "oops. must've hit ya." house grins as he says that.
"must've." you groan, an ache above your left eyebrow.
"yeah. you look like shit. when's the last time you've slept?" he asks, his gruff bastard act turning into genuine concern. only for you.
you take a moment to think about it, even if your brain is currently at 5 speed. "this morning, when i woke up in your bed."
he nods, sitting up slightly as he knows it's 12:30 in the morning, already incredibly late to be working, but this case was too hard to crack.
"i don't like that. go home. my home. you're more comfortable there than at your shitty place, anyways." greg directs as you shake your head.
"i cant! we need to know what's wrong and the diagnosis is too-" he cuts off your complaining, and you sigh.
beginning to stand, you find yourself agreeing with his orders. "should i wait up?" he shakes his head, "absolutely not. get some sleep, okay? i'll be there soon."
nodding, you walk out of his office.
greg comes home around 1:30, and hour after you had eventually left. he sees you awake, barely, sprawled out on his bed.
he begins to slip off his blazer and shirt, staring right at you, comfortable in his bed and in his clothes. "late night, huh?"
I was wondering if I could ask you to possibly write my idea
Imagine being Gregory House's wife and him seeing you doing a million steps nightly skin care routine and just laying under the covers and waiting for you to be done and come to bed already and slowly getting frustrated
Maybe a little toddler cuddling in bed with him and house complaining to them about you
"Mommy is taking a long time huh?"
good night ✩ gregory house
i miss greg house :( 🤍
Music played quietly from your phone as you took your time doing your nightly skincare routine. You sang along to a Fleetwood Mac song, tossing a cotton ball into the trash can.
“Hurry up!” Your huband called from the bedroom. You heard a little giggle followung Greg’s voice.
“‘Urry up, mama!” Your precious baby girl repeated. You heard Greg talk quietly to her, plotting something devious.
Greg’s plotting, however, did not deter you from the task at hand. You smeared moisturizer onto your face and started rubbing it into your face. You heard little footsteps by the door. Pretending not to hear them, you continued your movements.
Suddenly, you felt your little girl jump up and cling to your leg. Clementine shrieked in laughter as you squealed in fake-surprise. She buried her face in your leg and you felt her tight grip through your pajama pants.
“Sleepy, mama!” Clem informed you through her laughter. “Daddy and I sleep without you!”
You gasped. After rinsing your hands clean and drying them on a towel, you reached down and scooped little Clementine into your hands. “You can’t go to sleep without mama, silly girl! Did daddy send you in here?”
Clementine giggled again as you grab your toothbrush and tickle her little belly with your finger. “Daddy said you take too long,” she tells you seriously. “We go sleep without you, mama.”
After putting a bead of toothpaste on your toothbrush, you click your tongue. “You can’t go to sleep if mama’s holding you, can you?”
Clementine sighs and rests her head on your shoulder. Her bright, watery eyes watch you closely through the mirror as you brush your teeth.
“I’m going to die of hypothermia!”
Your little girl giggles when your face lights up. “Daddy’s so silly,” you say, rinsing your toothbrush off one more time. “Are you ready for bed, Clem?”
On cue, Clementine yawns so hard her hands shake. You chuckle. After pausing your music, shutting off the light, and adjusted Clementine in your arms, you pad back to the bedroom.
“Finally.” Greg groaned, pulling back the blanket for you and your daughter. “I see our plan to get mama in here worked, kid,” he muses, opening his arms to the girl. She just sighed tiredly and nuzzled into him. Her chubby hand held tight to your finger, though. After reaching over to turn off the lamp, you yourself make yourself comfortable in your husbands arms.
“Good night my loves,” you murmur, feeling Greg lace his fingers in your free hand. After the wedding, he had gotten more comfortable initiating physical comtact with you- not that you were complaining.
“G’night, mama,” Clem whispered back to you. “G’night, daddy.”
“Good night Clem,” Greg murmured, brushing one of her little curls back. “Good night y/n.”
You look up from the book on your lap and see Greg watching you, no cane in sight. “We all are,” you reply, shutting the book and tilting your head toward him.
“I can feel it,” Greg tells you, hobbling over to the couch. “In my chest, and in my teeth.”
You let Greg plop beside you with a pained groan. “So, you’re sick.”
In all honesty, you expected a scoff and witty remark. But in response Greg sighed deeply and slowly threaded his head through your arms- one hand resting on your back as you gently laid down. To your surprise, Greg’s raspy breathing stalled as you carded you fingers through his thin brown hair. “I wouldn’t complain if you stayed home.”
“Yeah you will,” Greg retorted, his fingers holding onto you a little tighter. “When you have to drug me up then you’ll complain.”
All you did in response was sigh. “You have so little faith,” you scolded. “Maybe this just my big scheme to get you to stay home with me all day. Did you ever consider that?”
Greg looked up. “You have such a powerful savior complex,” he chided. His voice held no weight, though, because he sounded hilarious with his nasally voice and shiny eyes.
You just hummed. Greg’s other hand came to rest on your thigh. Unconciously, his thumb massaged your flesh soothingly- for him or for you? you didn’t know- as he turned his attention to the television. You knew how finnicky Greg got when he was feeling even worse than usual and had dealt with worse situations. Not only that, but Greg had taken care of you when you refused to let yourself rest.
“Stop thinking so loudly,” Greg grumbled, nuzzling a little deeper into your warmth.
You stopped playing with your boyfriend’s hair to scratch the bugbite on your neck. To your surprise, Greg tilted his head up to follow your hand. His nose was red and his eyes squinted in the light.
“Don’t even smile at me,” Greg threatened you with his highly un-threatening nasally voice as he yook your hand in his and resumed watching T.V.
