the first time he held your daughter, he was in awe. no talking, no smile, no murmurs.

finally, he spoke. "wow." was all he could get out, his words blocked by the vision of being a father.

while you rested in the hospital bed, watching spencer fawn over your new baby, it reminded you of how much spencer loved kids.

how much he smiled when he realized they were apart of a loving family, had a good life, and were overall the sweetest.

kids were something you and spencer had never really talked about.

but, you had gotten pregnant, so of course then, you spoke on it.

"this is even better than watching you talk tot kids on cases." you murmur, as that earns a laugh from him.

"guess so." he smiles, your daughter coos. "she agrees."

you smiled back, staring at the way he's so mesmerized, and mirroring his words. "guess so."

spencer shot awake as soon as garcia had contacted both of your phones with the same line,

"avengers assemble!"

you groaned as he got up, and grabbed some clothing out of his dresser. he places some black slacks on the bed as he finds the rest of his outfit.

you watch from bed as reid continues to dress himself & get ready. you watch as his mind works to pick a pair of his mismatched socks.

a small, tired smile graces your lips as spencer finally chooses a pair. his right sock, a dark blue one with a light blue lined design & a left sock with black, white, tan, and brown strippes.

"what a pair. it's so.. you." you said, and a confused look is on spencer's face. "i love it." murmuring a compliment, you get yourself up, leaning into his side in the early morning.

"yeah? i think my brown sweater vest and tan tie will look good. i think dark colours suit me best." he rambled on, his face tired from waking up at 5am. "do you think so, too?"

nodding, you look down at the clothing placed on the bed. "yeah. gonna be the best dressed at work, spence."

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ has had a checklist made for what to buy for a baby before he even proposed to you- he wanted to be ready

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ total girl dad- can't change my mind.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ doesn't let ANYONE hold the baby until their hands are washed. no hand sanitizer, SOAP AND WATER.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ doesn't take no for an answer if you're more than 5+ pregnant on a case. spencer complains it's too dangerous, even if you're just sitting at the police station.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ your baby's godparents are hotch & emily! he told the team (before he even met you) that even if he had kids.. those would the parents.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ helps messaging your most tender areas. your back, your feet, your stomach. he'll learn to be a masseuse just to make you comfortable.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ loves when he comes back from a case and seeing you all pregnant with his kid on the couch, waiting for him.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ had lots and lots of practice with henry. spencer liked to watch how will would interact with the boy- so he wouldn't mess up when babysitting or watching his own.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ knows how to deal with all your mood swings. angry? got a solution. upset? he'll cheer you up.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ hates the idea of babysitters. someone he knows is volunteering to watch your kid? sure! but a stranger? no. he works for the fbi, for gods sake.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ spencer has always wanted to be a dad, and when he met you he knew that one day you'd have kids. even if he was a bit confused on where you stood when you first started dating.

the cold night air was making you both shiver as you walk to his car in the underground parking garage of the bau.

as you ramble on about something that had happened during the case, spencer keeps quiet as he listens intently.

every little while, he'll make a facial expression or let out a hum. but mostly, it was just him nodding and agreeing.

"god, spence, you're a great listener." you murmured as you get in the car. his pale cheeks are flush pink- but you can't tell if that's from the cold air or your compliment.

either way, you smile to yourself.

there's a brief pause of silence until spencer finds something to ramble on about- presumably, a fact.

"did you know that while we hear at a rate of 125-250 words per minute, our brains process thoughts much faster, at 1,000-3,000 words per minute?? which is why some people can.. sorry."

he apologizes for his rambling as you still keep smiling- finding it cute. his cheeks flush more & you know that it's from you.

he looks away, eyes focusing on pulling out of the parking garage. "most people get bored with my rambling. says it's.. too much information."

you smile, sympathetically this time. "no, it's not too much. honestly, it's too little. i had no idea about that. about most things you tell me." you admit to him,

he mirrors your smile, as the red light glades onto your face through the windshield glass. "i guess you're the great listener, then." he mumbles, like it's a fact.

knocking on greg's office door, you sip your coffee, just praying you can go home soon.

this patient's case is so incredibly hard to crack and yet- all five of you- cameron, chase, foreman, house, and yourself, don't even know what this could be.

therefore, you've been at the hospital all since 9 this morning, from when cuddy had called you about rhis one of a kind symptom list.

your boyfriend, house, smirks as you sit on the chair across from the desk he's sat at.

"so tired." you murmured as he throws that red ball that he loves to play catch with, right at your face.

flinching at the sudden hit, you look at him, annoyed and unimpressed. "oops. must've hit ya." house grins as he says that.

"must've." you groan, an ache above your left eyebrow.

"yeah. you look like shit. when's the last time you've slept?" he asks, his gruff bastard act turning into genuine concern. only for you.

you take a moment to think about it, even if your brain is currently at 5 speed. "this morning, when i woke up in your bed."

he nods, sitting up slightly as he knows it's 12:30 in the morning, already incredibly late to be working, but this case was too hard to crack.

"i don't like that. go home. my home. you're more comfortable there than at your shitty place, anyways." greg directs as you shake your head.

"i cant! we need to know what's wrong and the diagnosis is too-" he cuts off your complaining, and you sigh.

beginning to stand, you find yourself agreeing with his orders. "should i wait up?" he shakes his head, "absolutely not. get some sleep, okay? i'll be there soon."

nodding, you walk out of his office.

greg comes home around 1:30, and hour after you had eventually left. he sees you awake, barely, sprawled out on his bed.

he begins to slip off his blazer and shirt, staring right at you, comfortable in his bed and in his clothes. "late night, huh?"

hi everyone!!! sooo sorry for my hiatus but my school was so on my ass so i def needed this!

spencer sat next to you as yourself- plus the team- boarded the jet. your eyes lock on his as he slides into the seat across from you, and bringing out the chess box.

you groan upon seeing it, knowing that you mentioned to him forever ago about wanting to learn, and now- he just thought at two in the morning, it would be a great time.

"spence, it might be a little too late for this. how about next jet ride when we're going to the case? not from." you suggest, trying to get out of it and get some well deserved rest.

he doesn't even look up, too focused on placing the pieces on the board in the correct order.

"why would we wait when we have an hour to kill?" he finally says, gesturing to the finished chessboard on the table in between you two.

"are you serious? we live together, spencer, you could've taught me months ago." he rolls his eyes as you argue.

"fine, fine. don't learn how to play chess then- and just so you know- I'm a very good teacher." he locks his eyes on yours.

you yawn, feeling the jet takeoff and finally head back to quantico. reid sees your tired expression and frowns. 

"I mean, you do look like you could benefit from the rest. I guess I'll have to teach you another day but just be prepared." he says, as you nod.

"got it. night, reid."

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ spencer reid is a worry wart. he needs to make sure you're close to him during a case- especially if it is in regards to you, him, the team, or your relationship.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ spencer has a tracker on your phone. he doesn't use it to see where you are or whenever you're coming home, but to see if he needs to use it. like if the unsub had got you or you were totally off road. he needs to know where you are.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ whenever the case is a long flight- or a short one- spencer always takes his seat next to yours. he sits down with you, either playing cards or discussing the case. spencer even likes to sit with you in complete silence. it makes him feel complete.

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ with your jobs being so exhuasting, the hotel rooms are either spent sleeping or going over late night files of the case. "have you found any changes in the mo? "no, you asked me that 5 minutes ago, spencer."

⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ dealing with cold cases on killers is tough, but spencer always makes sure to keep it lowkey. wether that's sleeping on the flight home or making sure you're sleeping in after a late case in the mornings, he'll do it.
