Basically the idea is that Benedictine Monks and Gregorian chants were to the medieval era what the Beach Boys were to the 60s. And also that I think there should be a movie about monk drama set in the 14th century but the score is just the Beach Boys

Can you elaborate on your opinion of Gregorian Chant? I'm very curious.
I just don't care for it?
My dad likes exactly 5 types of music and will play the same thing to death. How long can you tolerate Gregorian chant during dinner?
The ceremonial function and its lyrics are not very meaningful to me (because I'm an atheist). The music isn't that enticing, it isn't catchy (it isn't meant to be) and that's okay!
I respect it as a genre and there are some out there that I do think are nice but I sure don't think I need more of it in my life
