I wish to give you an opportunity to ramble about ur ocs now :3

YIPPEE I will say some of these are way more fleshed out than others. It’s cause I obsess over each character at a time and I haven’t obsessed over all of them yet
Ruby & Kaiden
Ruby is a Faun. Which is a species in my world that are all based off of animals with horns/antlers. She’s based off of an Addax. (I’ve definitely been drawing the horns wrong since I wasn’t really looking at a reference..) Ruby’s Mom was forced to marry the current King of Cenizas (kingdom they live in) when Ruby was young. Ruby was very against this, but couldn’t do anything about it. Her mom and her moved into the castle. Ruby was a very rebellious to her own detriment.
Kaiden is a harpy… I wonder what his species is based on… Birds. I haven’t really decided what bird he’s based on. I’ve thought of making him a pigeon or a dove. Dunno yet. His family is very much a military family. Kaiden is definitely a lover more than a fighter. He is more into music. Still don’t know what he plays. Thought of a harp (haha. A harpy who plays the harp.)
Kaiden at the time of meeting Ruby was doing a mail delivery job. They had met when he was delivering mail to the Cenizas kingdom. They slowly became closer over time. Ruby and him talk about their lives. Ruby plans to escape the castle and go live her life how she wanted to. Kaiden plans to join her for a similar reason.
The plan was that he will take some things from her room go hide them in a near by cave. Ruby will escape during a large ball. Retrieve the supplies they’ll meet up and run away together.
Plan plays out Ruby escapes Kaiden goes to the meeting spot and Ruby is not there. He goes to the cave to see if her stuff is still there. It is. She never made it to the cave and something happened to her. Kingdom pronounced her dead after a week of searching. :(
Amber & Vulcan
They are both faun based off of the royal antelope.
Amber was born right after Ruby died. She’s often compared to them. Amber is very sheltered. Never allowed out of sight of her guards. She’s hates Ruby. She’s hates everything about her due to being compared. Her mother had really bad postpartum and actively avoids even being around Amber. Her dad is just distant to every child he has.
Vulcan, Her older brother was too young to understand what had happened. Vulcan looked up to Ruby and for a while Vulcan only saw Amber as a replacement. Now that he’s older he knows that’s not the case, but he still thinks it. He holds back a lot of things he thinks as to not hurt Amber’s feelings, but it causes him to repress a lot of his feelings. 😔
Selene
Selene is a fairy based off a Luna moth. Fairies are just based off of any bug with wings. (I love to mess with my friends and remind them that cockroach fairies exist in my world.)
Selene grew up in a wealthy family with 6 other siblings. She very much wanted attention she wasn’t getting. Especially since she was not the “smartest” grades wise compared to her siblings and she was a middle child. Selene went to a school for people who excel however she doesn’t excel. The only reason she’s there is because her parents were donors to the school. This was well known by the people she went to school with so she was a social outcast.
The fairies have more advanced magic tech and around the time that Selene was in high school the fairies had made an internet. Selene plays the piano and started posting online. She got popular fast and revealed in the attention.
The fairies decide who leads them by popularity. Specifically popularity in music. Whoever is at the top 10 then have music competitions to see which the public likes more and then whoever is in the top spot in the end becomes the monarch (haha. like monarch butterfly. So funny. /sarcasm) until the next competition where they would have to go through all of that again.
Selene realized she could try to become monarch. Get even more attention. So she went through all of that and is now the monarch. She’s worked really hard to be where she is now, so she actively does whatever she can to keep her position of power.
Grace
Grace is a bee. She’s never felt safe around men. She’s felt like they just only see her as an object. She’s probably had past trauma, but I haven’t thought too much about that. When she met her husband she thought it was love she was feeling but it fact it was her feeling safe with a man for the first time. Due to the fact he’s actually really sweet and cares a lot about her as a person. So she married him had kids lead the life she thought she should lead.
One day her husband had payed for her and her friends to go to a high end party where Selene was preforming. He took care of the kids while she was gone. While she was there she was having a good time when all of a sudden she felt like people were watching her (specifically men) and she starts to panic. So she heads to the bathroom and tries to calm down. She looks up and sees Selene right there. Gasp! Anyways Selene flirts a bit with her, gives Grace her number, then just leaves. Grace was in shock like what the hell just happened.
After like a week Grace doesn’t call back. She’s very confused because she’s never felt what she felt when Selene flirted with her. So she calls back and they start dating. After a couple months Grace realizes that even if she actually does love Selene, Grace still very much loves her family and her husband. (platonically she realizes) Grace feels like she can’t betray her family by cheating on her husband. So she dumps Selene. Kallisto
Kallisto is based off a dragonfly.
With other species when two people of different kind animals have a kid normally it’s just that their kid will just have one of the traits. Like with faun it’s just one of the horns not both combined.
With fairies sometimes something goes off and the wings will combine making the wings impossible to use.
Kallisto was born in a brothel. So his wings got messed up he was only born with the lower half of his wings.
He currently works for Selene. She has him in some kind of contract with a debt so he’s basically like an indentured servant at the moment to her.
