Vintage Brooks Brothers glen plaid/ prince of wales suit, recent Brooks pinpoint button-down, The Tie Bar “grenafaux” tie, and Allen Edmonds Leeds down below. Pretty sober outfit today, but I find you can tastefully play down the formality of the suit by pairing it with the blue shirt, solid tie, and white pocket square. The last time I wore this suit I paired with a white ocbd, burgundy tie, and white pocket square with burgundy tipped borders. It read as a cohesive unit but I felt like a dandy in my office. The white shirt contrasted with the suit and tie more than I thought. This time around it seems to work better. So there ain’t nothing wrong with going for the sober look once in a while. In fact, it’s one of my personal favorites as of late.
