Horse Armour from India dated to the 17th Century on display at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, England
This is an example of Bargustawan armour for cavalry formed from hardened leather which were preserved in Rajasthan. The Mughal cavalry pretected their horses with different types of armour including mail and plate, quilted fabric, and hardened leather. The provision of horse armour was very improtant for cavalry as archers would target the horses.
Shock tactics using heavy cavalry were popular in the Mughal Empire and they were training in combating not just enemy cavalry but also elephants.

Yorkshire decay
Recently came across a shot of the Astoria Motor Court that I had never seen before (via Getty Images and Aladdin Color Inc).
How lively and beautiful this property once was. I haven’t stopped by in a few years but the last time I was there, it looked nothing like the first picture. A literal shell of itself - with gutted cottages and a filled in pool.
I know it was on the market not too long ago but what’s the status on this property now? The listing is no longer active, did it sell? Any plans for revival?
