I am going for a particularly @briansetzer59 vibe today with this rig: 1959 (1960 model year) #Gretsch6120 & 1963 #Fender #Bassman, both owned by @tomgibson3783.
Tom is a huge Setzer fan, and rumour in the online expert #Gretsch community has it that this #guitar is just ONE serial number away from a 6120 owned by Brian himself!
The guitar is immaculate and plays beautifully. The case at left is its replica "traveling" case - the valuable original cowboy case is safely at home with the owner.
The #amp is also interesting - it started out life as a beat up 1962 #6G6 A that tom had restored to 1963 specs and re-tolexed. The cab is a custom, chopped compact 2 x 12 build with a pair of UK made Vintage 30s, also just like Mr. Setzer! 😊
