Throwback to when we played the MOTHERFUCKING GREY EAGLE!
I was thinking about what I wrote earlier about most of my pictures being of disaster and destruction lately. So instead, here is the most beautiful picture I took this year.
It looks like a painting but it isn’t. It’s a sunflower I found literally growing out of the cracked pavement outside The Grey Eagle in Asheville, one rainy day about two weeks before the storm. It was a miserable day and I was stuck outside working, but I took this picture and it made me feel better.
The Grey Eagle made it through the storm and is open again, which just makes this picture better.
