yet again he would find himself picking up the slack for a couple of colleagues who’d rather do whatever it was they did than take the call. then again, maybe they just knew he’d jump to it first as he would regularly do. it was almost as if he felt he was the only one to take his job seriously. he could not be bribed unlike some of the others who were easily swayed by smooth words or in paul’s case, a snickers bar. it was rather sad. it didn’t earn him a lot of friends sometimes but a small price to pay for actually giving a damn.
upon pulling up to take care of the situation (possible assault and battery) and his surprise is unfaltered. he recognizes them immediately ⸺ of course it was. the officer drawls out a disappointed sigh, mentally preparing himself to dealing with them again and just what they had in store for him this time and he couldn’t wait to hear it. “alright farris, let’s hear it.”
