neither grian or zedaph are particularly good with a sword. grian much prefers explosives and zed tends to lean more toward chemical warfare, so of course, they both have shields and such to properly protect themselves from both of those things when they do use them

however, when people eventually come find them in their humble abode hidden deep within a forest, wanting to retrieve the bounty half the nearby kingdoms have placed on them, they don’t have the time or resources to use their preferred weapons

they’ll always take up a blade for each other when they have to — though they both really wish it didn’t have to be today. they were gonna make cookies together this evening, for crying out loud!

At least they have plenty of time afterwards to complain about it. On a day they had their evening booked, too... Now they'll need to make cookies at night instead!
