Equius looked at the flowers in his hand; she would appreciate the gesture right? He had upset her the day before, and whilst they were a small token it wouldn’t hurt to show that he regretted doing so. Maybe it didn’t really matter, Kanaya disliked a great number of people, but he had to try. He’d just go to her hive, present her with the flowers, apologize and leave, easy. That way he could at least attempt to maintain a civil relationship with everyone. Although as he grew closer to her hive he couldn’t shake of the feeling that this would prove to be a bad idea, what if it just proved to aggravate her more? It didn’t matter his resolve was resolute; there was no time to second guess himself.

 Arriving at her hive he took a deep steadying breath. He had to fight back the little voice telling him to run, such a thing would be foolish. Why was he even so nervous? Admittedly he had never been to her hive before, but really he had no reason to be afraid. No more so than usual at least. Reaching out he knocked firmly, careful not to cause any damage, it had happened in the past. Now he just had to wait for Ms Maryam to answer the door, things were already going to plan.
