“Well, then...”, he began, smiling perhaps a bit more widely than necessary.
He didn’t mean to seem overly excited, but it wasn’t often he was able to actually converse with— sit with, talk with, get to know— someone from Garden. He had, of course, been to one of the schools before, but never for long and, if he was there for any length of time, it was always straight to business, it seemed. Thus, each time, he was generally faintly disappointed when he would head for the train back home.
Perhaps, now, though he could learn something, not simply aid with Para-Magics.
“You’re well-acquainted with Garden, I take it?”, he jested, an attempt at friendliness.
“It’s, ah... it’s a pleasure to meet you.”, he then added, much more formally.
At that, he bowed his head politely, in greeting. And when he glanced up again, there was a hint of color in his cheeks, an awkward smile on his face. He could only hope he didn’t look entirely a fool.
