This is a tribute for the Master of Master, the Deliverer of Darkness, the Shogun of Sorrow, Aku! I thought about this design for Aku long time ago, as an ancient god of evil and chaos. I was inspired by the Chinese, Egyptian, Greek and Japanese mythologies. Aku - is a pure creature of chaos. He can open his mouth really wide he can devour creatures that bigger than his body, even though he is a pretty big creature himself and he can shapeshift however he wants. It helps him too fool inconsiderate strangers to follow him, do whatever he wants and imprison (or kill) them after. He always thinks about himself and, as legend says, lives in the darkness and can even go to the person's dreams. There's a theory that Aku was responsible for all the wars and natural catastrophes in the world, because he was whispering to world leaders and could control the nature. Aku also can possess human bodies, alive and dead, if someone would made a deal with him or not. He can possess human bodies by his cough when he is sick, or can shapeshift into a human to impregonate women, that should eventually give a birth for the children, that gives a lot of pain to the unlucky mother. These children will probably kill their mother after they reach a certain age and would turn into the demons, like Aku himself. Aku is represented by a big snake-like creature, but with fur on his legs, green avian paws with sharp black claws, a six antlers on his head, a beak full of sharp fangs, that can easily torn every living creature apart. He can breath fire, use different kinds of magic and hypnotize by his deadly stare of his bright orange snake eyes. He cannot be killed by any ordinary weapon, except for the sword of the gods that fought him in the ancient world: Odyn, Ra and Vishnu. But even with this weapon he can't be killed completely. The part of his darkness will always live in this world, as in his children and in the humanity itself.
The artwork was created exclusively for the Aku Worldwide Tribute Awards Competition
