raven keeps her eyes trained perfectly upon clarke as she awaits a response. sometimes she’s sure she can see a glimpse of the battle waging on inside the blonde’s head. it’s one she’s fought in her own time and time again. raven had lost her gentleness a long time ago in favor of literally blowing things sky high.

the mechanic took a deep breath and shook her head. “it doesn’t have to be you. let me go instead.” raven INSISTED looking very much like she wouldn’t take no for an answer. there were thing she wanted to say. clarke had someone... SOMETHING to live for. raven was expendable. she should go in clarke’s place. it made perfect sense in her calculated brain.
