A delicious burger inspired by the flavors of Schichtsalat mit Steakstreifen, featuring grilled steak strips, Swiss cheese, and a zesty mayo-Dijon sauce.
Ingredients: 4 Burger buns. 1 pound 450g of steak strips. 1 cup of shredded iceberg lettuce. 1 cup of sliced cherry tomatoes. 1/2 cup of diced red onions. 1/2 cup of diced pickles. 4 slices of Swiss cheese. 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard. 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then grill or pan-sear them until they reach your desired level of doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each strip during the last minute of cooking and let it melt. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a sauce. Slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by spreading the mayo-Dijon sauce on the bottom bun, followed by a layer of shredded lettuce. Place the cooked steak strips with melted cheese on top of the lettuce. Add sliced cherry tomatoes, diced red onions, and diced pickles. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve your Schichtsalat mit Steakstreifen Burgers with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
